Why do eyeglasses cost so much?
Eyeglasses are a complex optical device that is manufactured with high-precision equipment. Often expensive materials are used for the glasses. All of this explains why eyeglasses can be expensive.
What should you do before buying glasses?
Let's look at what to look for when buying eyeglasses. The first is, of course, quality. The second is the choice of lenses of glasses. Here we focus attention on the material: they can be either glass or plastic. The third is the choice of frames.
What's the difference between expensive glasses and cheap glasses for vision?
The quality and accordingly the price of the lens depends on the presence of coatings on the lenses. The higher the price, the more coatings on the lens. Coatings make our vision more comfortable. Lens manufacturers do not stand still and improve the quality of lenses.
How do I know which glasses fit my face?
It's best if the width of the frame is equal to or slightly larger than the widest part of your face. The upper line of the frames should coincide with the line of eyebrows. Smooth shapes of glasses will emphasize rounded curves of the face. To emphasize high cheekbones choose the "butterfly" or "cat-eye" glasses.
Where can I see better with glasses or contact lenses?
With lenses, you can see better, so it turns out that extra obstacles don't distort the image. Lenses don't shed dust, don't catch glare from the sun and don't distort peripheral vision-no matter where we look, the image stays sharp.

Each time I have tried to get service at the vision center I have been totally ignored. Today was the last straw, I will never return to the Vision Center inside the Burlington Wal Mart. Someone could at least look up and say I will be with you in a minute. Beware!

The BEST eye appointment I have ever had. Receptionists were all very friendly, greeted me immediately and were very personable. Doctor spent at least 45 minutes with me as I have a very tricky prescription for contacts with mono-vision and multifocal lenses. I walked out with trial lenses and could immediately see better than I had been for the past year! I could not be happier with my appointment.

Tried Walmart vision after place I've been going to for 20 years switched things up a bit. Was nervous, skeptical about it all but the walmart vision employee named Melanie made it all great. Love, love, love my glasses!

We made an appointment over a month ago. They dont have a permanent doctor. They only have a doctor on Thursdays. I came in with my boyfriend and stated we had an appointment at 1pm. The young lady said we didnt have an appointment until 2pm. We stated that they called and left a message saying his appointment was at 1pm and I also made the appointment and had it in my calendar. The girl that was in their office said she did the confirmation calls and denied ever calling him (no idea why she was denying that). We played the voicemail for her and she stated again that wasnt her and it wasnt Burlington Optical that called him. She said we have the wrong company .The voicemail clearly stated Walmart Burlington Optical. She then calls my boyfriend while we are in the office and my boyfriend answers. She says was that you? He said yes. She then asked if his name was Chris. We said no we told you his name and appointment time. She never apologized and when asked for a manager she said they wont be back for 30mins. We have been customers for 6 years and will NEVER come back here. Very disappointing and weird. I dont think the young girl knows where shes at or where she works. She literally made us feel like we were crazy and dilusuinal and had the wrong place. The doctor finally came at 1:07pm asking for my boyfriend by saying his name. Never again will we come here.
