Eye exams is a procedure to evaluate the functions of the eye that provide normal vision. Namely, how the size, shape, and color of objects are perceived, as well as their location relative to each other. Eye exams are necessary for the timely detection of abnormalities and successful correction. Eye exams include accurate determination of the patient's visual acuity and refraction, intraocular pressure measurements, microscopic examination of the eye (biomicroscopy), pachymetry (corneal thickness measurement), echobiometry (eye length determination), ultrasound eye examination (B-scan), computer keratotopography and thorough retinal (eye fundus) examination with a wide pupil, tear production level determination and detailed visual field examination of the patient. Various methods are used to test vision, the results of which allow the doctor to identify abnormalities and prescribe a correction.

What a price shock on a quote today. I came in with a $99 progressive lens 2 for 1 coupon. After I selected a metal frame that was part of the promotion, I wanted polycarbonate lens, anti-scratch, blue light reduction treatment and a supreme digital reading progressive lens. The quoted discounted price then jumped to over $500 for the two pair. I was shocked since the pair I am wearing had all those features and cost less than $130.00 online 3 years ago. I guess the add-ons at Visionworks are more costly than I'm willing to pay.

Paige Wiggs  |  Rating: 1  |  America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

Every time I need contacts I call ahead of time to confirm they have my contacts. I let them know I’ll be there in 10 minutes to pick them up. They will never pull them up front for me. I end up having to sit and wait 20-30 minutes for someone to pull the contacts from a cabinet just so I can buy them. Waiting 20 -30 minutes just to pull two boxes of contacts is a little ridiculous. I guess I have to start making an appointment just to pick up contacts. After years of dealing with this I’m finally done and switching eye doctors.

Victoria Lam  |  Rating: 5  |  Target Optical

Target Optical is absolutely phenomenal. They consistently provide quick and thorough service. Sandra is the BEST at helping you choose frames that really fit your style, and she always makes visits a great experience. I won’t go anywhere else to get my glasses!
