Who is an optometrist and what does he or she do?
Optometry is a branch of ophthalmology that specializes in methods of correcting vision using optometric aids. An optometrist is a specialist who determines the degree of vision impairment and prescribes corrective aids such as glasses and contact lenses.

Why do eyeglasses cost so much?
Eyeglasses are a complex optical device that is manufactured with high-precision equipment. Often expensive materials are used for the glasses. All of this explains why eyeglasses can be expensive.
What should you do before buying glasses?
Let's look at what to look for when buying eyeglasses. The first is, of course, quality. The second is the choice of lenses of glasses. Here we focus attention on the material: they can be either glass or plastic. The third is the choice of frames.
What's the difference between expensive glasses and cheap glasses for vision?
The quality and accordingly the price of the lens depends on the presence of coatings on the lenses. The higher the price, the more coatings on the lens. Coatings make our vision more comfortable. Lens manufacturers do not stand still and improve the quality of lenses.
How do I know which glasses fit my face?
It's best if the width of the frame is equal to or slightly larger than the widest part of your face. The upper line of the frames should coincide with the line of eyebrows. Smooth shapes of glasses will emphasize rounded curves of the face. To emphasize high cheekbones choose the "butterfly" or "cat-eye" glasses.
Where can I see better with glasses or contact lenses?
With lenses, you can see better, so it turns out that extra obstacles don't distort the image. Lenses don't shed dust, don't catch glare from the sun and don't distort peripheral vision-no matter where we look, the image stays sharp.

Dr. To and her staff, Melanie and Carla were excellent in all respects. Dr. To has a wonderful bedside manner and made it very easy for me to understand the intricacies of all the various tests. I would highly recommend her as a optometrist.

I would highly recommend! Very professional and friendly! They have state of the art machines and a fabulous staff. I've gone here for many years and I'm always in and out quickly! Took my son there for an eye injury recently, very thorough and trustworthy. You cant trust your eyes to just anyone!

New store with very friendly staff! We made an eye appointment next door and then purchased glasses at Visionworks. The staff is very customer service oriented and extremely helpful in providing suggestions on frames based on face shape, style, wear, etc. They asked quality questions that helped us make a more informed decision prior to our purchase. While we were in the store another customer was sharing the terrible service they received at another location and were so happy to have found this store and staff. They were genuinely grateful for the level of service they received and the knowledge of the staff! Highly recommend this location!

I’ve been coming to Dr. Mini John for years. Each time I come the visit are more sweeter than all the other visits. She’s very professional, loving and to top it off… she loves the Lord! She’s always giving words of encouragement and always shares a beautiful word from the Lord. To have a doctor like Dr. John is truly a blessing. She has a beautiful spirit not only with me but with all of her patients. Today I brought my eyeglasses in for her to replace my lens and she said Monique you owe me nothing! I said I do I must pay for this service she said no ma’am. You know God is amazing faithful and beautiful. Truly I couldn’t spare the service but I needed my glasses to see. It was like Dr. John knew my spirit…not one time I said anything to her about my finances but God laid it upon her heart ❤️. I thank God Clift you DrJohn

Dr. Joseph is the most knowledgeable and thorough eye doctor my husband and I have seen! He took his time and provided a lot of education on how different things impact eye health. Staff was super helpful with our glasses and lenses. We will definitely be back!
