Who is an optometrist and what does he or she do?
Optometry is a branch of ophthalmology that specializes in methods of correcting vision using optometric aids. An optometrist is a specialist who determines the degree of vision impairment and prescribes corrective aids such as glasses and contact lenses.

Why do eyeglasses cost so much?
Eyeglasses are a complex optical device that is manufactured with high-precision equipment. Often expensive materials are used for the glasses. All of this explains why eyeglasses can be expensive.
What should you do before buying glasses?
Let's look at what to look for when buying eyeglasses. The first is, of course, quality. The second is the choice of lenses of glasses. Here we focus attention on the material: they can be either glass or plastic. The third is the choice of frames.
What's the difference between expensive glasses and cheap glasses for vision?
The quality and accordingly the price of the lens depends on the presence of coatings on the lenses. The higher the price, the more coatings on the lens. Coatings make our vision more comfortable. Lens manufacturers do not stand still and improve the quality of lenses.
How do I know which glasses fit my face?
It's best if the width of the frame is equal to or slightly larger than the widest part of your face. The upper line of the frames should coincide with the line of eyebrows. Smooth shapes of glasses will emphasize rounded curves of the face. To emphasize high cheekbones choose the "butterfly" or "cat-eye" glasses.
Where can I see better with glasses or contact lenses?
With lenses, you can see better, so it turns out that extra obstacles don't distort the image. Lenses don't shed dust, don't catch glare from the sun and don't distort peripheral vision-no matter where we look, the image stays sharp.

Super friendly and helpful staff. It was fun picking out new frames with Sopo and JoAnn. My new glasses were ready within days and I received texts and appointments to pick them up as soon as they were ready. Advanced Family Eyecare has a great selection of eye ware with a well-trained staff and I would highly recommend working with them.

I was referred to them because of a special eye condition that causes getting the correct prescription difficult and have been going back for more than 4 years and would encourage anyone to use them. Every time I am there the staff is always very friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make sure that I am getting the best service and that I have the best vision. They have also worked with my insurance company to ensure I get the best coverage, especially with my special Synergeyes contact lenses.

I went in to order some new glasses and ran into trouble online with frame prices changing. Taylor and Kathleen were extremely patient and helpful in making sure I got the glasses and lenses I wanted. Amazing customer service from everyone in the store!

Appointment was at 9:30 and wasn't seen until 10:20 an almost hour long wait which was incredibly frustrating. The whole point of an Appointment is so that you don't have to wait forever to be seem. During the appointment it's self I felt as if the doctor was judging me and that my wishes and requests were not respected. Miscommunication between staff members led to me leaving and going home then receiving a phone call that I had to come back because they weren't actually done. I paid my copay the same day I had my Appointment and then got a call next day saying I owed more money!?!?! The staff at this location needs to figure out how to do their job correctly and have better communication. This was overall a HORRIBLE experience and I will not be returning to this office because of it!

My family of 4 went to the eye doctor, they were able to help us one after the other and were very nice, understanding and patient with us. My kids are between 4 & 8 so they get wiggly and they were very understanding. I haven’t been to an eye doctor in years and they were very helpful and explained everything in both the correct terms and in terms I could understand, I had to get contacts/ glasses and they coached me on how to put them in and told me if I had any questions to call- which may be something that is said often but I can tell they truly meant it and were there to help. This will be our family eye doctor going forward.
