Who is an optometrist and what does he or she do?

Why do eyeglasses cost so much?
Eyeglasses are a complex optical device that is manufactured with high-precision equipment. Often expensive materials are used for the glasses. All of this explains why eyeglasses can be expensive.
What should you do before buying glasses?
Let's look at what to look for when buying eyeglasses. The first is, of course, quality. The second is the choice of lenses of glasses. Here we focus attention on the material: they can be either glass or plastic. The third is the choice of frames.
What's the difference between expensive glasses and cheap glasses for vision?
The quality and accordingly the price of the lens depends on the presence of coatings on the lenses. The higher the price, the more coatings on the lens. Coatings make our vision more comfortable. Lens manufacturers do not stand still and improve the quality of lenses.
How do I know which glasses fit my face?
It's best if the width of the frame is equal to or slightly larger than the widest part of your face. The upper line of the frames should coincide with the line of eyebrows. Smooth shapes of glasses will emphasize rounded curves of the face. To emphasize high cheekbones choose the "butterfly" or "cat-eye" glasses.
Where can I see better with glasses or contact lenses?
With lenses, you can see better, so it turns out that extra obstacles don't distort the image. Lenses don't shed dust, don't catch glare from the sun and don't distort peripheral vision-no matter where we look, the image stays sharp.

Hello, I would like to be given the contact information of a member of management who will be able to help me resort some further issues. I am extremely disappointed with the continuous disrespect and disregard of the St. David’s Visionworks location. We finally received a phone call that my daughter’s contacts were ready to be tried on, and were told to just stop by. To our surprise we could not because she needed an appointment, which we were not told that this was a requirement. The appointment would not be available for another two weeks. That is two more weeks on top of the three we had already spent waiting. I explained the urgency in retrieving my daughters contacts and fixing her prescription, and my frustrations that an employee lied to me on the phone about how easy this would be. As a customer, and as stated in my previous emails, I am extremely frustrated, angered, and utterly disappointed. I have been lied too and kept in the dust about my own daughters treatment. I have asked the location for a total refund and will now be waiting another 30 days for an answer. Sincerely, Myriam Cruz

I ordered glasses for my granddaughter on July 29, 2032...today is September 1and today is the 3rd time that I have called for update in the glasses order and are the results...put on hold for over 10 minutes, never received a return call now I will need to visit for the 2nd time. no one knows what to do. So very disappointing UPDATE: received a return call to inform me that there was a glitch in the new computer software that mistaken my order for a "ghost" order. I believe them since this is the first time in 22 years that I had an issue...a call 3 weeks after no order would have been nice but I am happy that the problem was discovered and hopefully resolved. Glasses should be hear in about 2 weeks.

Do Not Book an Appointment Here! Twice I had appointments and both times there were exhaustive problems and complications. My appointment was not in their system...even though I received an email confirmation. I also waited for 45 min to be seen only 1 Dr. Second time their associate Sonny Scheduled me for an appointment and when I arrived I was told the appointmaet was not confirmed in their system so I could not be seen! Aside from that he double booked me and refused to honor the appointment. They are unreliable, unorganized and customer service is deplorable! My advice is: Go to a business/Dr. that is professional and respects both their scheduled appointments & their client's! S

My experience started almost 3 years ago. I had to bring back my vision glasses to get them fixed because the lab missed the right measurement. the General Manager, Mrs.Ivelisse Gonzalez ;handled the issue with great professionalism and outstanding customer service quality. As a customer service manger for more than 20 years, I can attest that Mrs. Ashley is an unique example to deliver the right experience to customers. I had to come back for many times and she is always there, getting out of her way to make sure that customers are satisfied. Thank you!
