Why do eyeglasses cost so much?
Eyeglasses are a complex optical device that is manufactured with high-precision equipment. Often expensive materials are used for the glasses. All of this explains why eyeglasses can be expensive.
What should you do before buying glasses?
Let's look at what to look for when buying eyeglasses. The first is, of course, quality. The second is the choice of lenses of glasses. Here we focus attention on the material: they can be either glass or plastic. The third is the choice of frames.
What's the difference between expensive glasses and cheap glasses for vision?
The quality and accordingly the price of the lens depends on the presence of coatings on the lenses. The higher the price, the more coatings on the lens. Coatings make our vision more comfortable. Lens manufacturers do not stand still and improve the quality of lenses.
How do I know which glasses fit my face?
It's best if the width of the frame is equal to or slightly larger than the widest part of your face. The upper line of the frames should coincide with the line of eyebrows. Smooth shapes of glasses will emphasize rounded curves of the face. To emphasize high cheekbones choose the "butterfly" or "cat-eye" glasses.
Where can I see better with glasses or contact lenses?
With lenses, you can see better, so it turns out that extra obstacles don't distort the image. Lenses don't shed dust, don't catch glare from the sun and don't distort peripheral vision-no matter where we look, the image stays sharp.

This is an excellent practice; our entire family has used it for many years. Dr. Florkey is extremely knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The staff is friendly and helpful in all matters of frame selection, fitting and insurance. A+!

I just spoke with the receptionist for Optical Fashions for thankfully the last time. For years they have been dismissive of my vision needs and act flat out put upon when trying to schedule. I get routine vision checks every six months from a specialist they referred me to and the difference is night and day. I can't wait to take my business elsewhere!

The doctor is wonderful but everything supporting and the prices will definitely have me looking elsewhere. Once my glasses arrived two weeks later i was told i needed an appt. to get fitted and pick them up. I opted for no fitting so I can pick them up without another appt. People work and have limited time for appointments...

I was Extremely upset with Optical Fashions! My Appointment was Scheduled at 4:30 which I left work early for and I was not in the office chair until 6! They messed up my insurance and overcharged for the appointment. Had my contacts ordered the same day of my app, It got to be a month later so I called I requested to see if my order was in and she proceeds to tell me its not in yet. being very upset at this point I tell her it has been a month since I've ordered them and no one called. 10 min later they are found. I proceed to tell her I left work early again in order to get there by 6 which is their Closing time. She responds with I am leaving at 5:45 when they are supposed to be open until 6. After I receive my contacts there is a 200 rebate included if you order a years supply. Went online to enter this information and the Code they gave me expired over 8 months prior. Will not be going back to such an unorganized business.

I went here as a new patient for an ER eye visit specifically because the woman told me it would only be $55. After I was seen, I was charged $130. They told me the girl I spoke with was mistaken, and they could not take any money off at all. This was very frustrating to me and will be the reason I do not go back. Other than that, the staff and the doctor were all very pleasant.
