Contact lenses are small lenses that are in "contact" with your eyes. They are designed to correct refractive errors and keep your eyes healthy. The lenses are in the tear film on the cornea. Modern contact lenses are small lenses worn over the cornea of the eye. Modern contact lenses whether soft or hard. Most people wear soft contact lenses, but it wasn't that long ago that lenses were made of glass. Colored contact lenses can make your eyes more intense or completely change the color of your eyes, and costume contact lenses can help create special effects seen on the big screen.
What is the difference between glasses and contact lenses?
Unlike glasses, contact lenses do not limit the field of vision. With glasses, the field of vision is limited, causing people to have to turn their head to see something from the side.
Can I sleep in contact lenses?
Modern soft contact lenses allow enough oxygen to the eye, but when you sleep, your eyes are closed and, therefore, the access of oxygen to them is reduced.
What are the harms of contact lenses?
Prolonged contact lens wear causes the cornea to thin (keratocytes lose their ability to synthesize new tissue). This can happen even with proper lens wear 3-5 years after use. In the case of reaction to hypoxia (lack of oxygen), the main complication is the formation of new blood vessels.

People are very friendly - doctors are good. I had no problem. Up to date equipment. They showed me all the pictures of my eyes from the computer generated pictures. Explained everything thoroughly. Helped me pick out frames that fit my face. This is the first time i have had my eyes checked in awhile and i was glad they didn't use drops as I had to drive myself - I am happy with them!

My son has been in glasses since he was 2. We tried many stores who simply had no glasses to fit such a small child.. When we finally found Childrens Optical we were glad to see that Joe(the owner) had a great selection of frames. The frames we bought lasted 2 years without breaking (for a very active toddler I think that's amazing). Joe cuts his own lenses so getting new glasses normally takes a few days to a week, as apposed to other places where they have to send out for lenses and it takes 2 weeks to get them back. We've shopped around a few times in the past 4 years and have yet to find a place with quality and durrible frames for kids. After trying to switch to another store we were left with broken glasses after 1 week.. if we loose a screw or pop out a lense (this is a 6 year old boy I'm talking about...) Joe normally can fix them in a few minutes. The store looks like you're walking into a thrift store full of old lady glasses.. don't be scared off, this is a great buisness with a friendly and knowledgeable owner.. we highly recomend Children's Optical

I have been going to Dr. Ravagnani for years. He is personable, relaxing and thorough. The practice is well run. Staff always explore the best options for me based on my insurance plan. There is a nice selection of stylish frames and staff has helped guide me toward some more fashion forward choices. I get a lot of compliments on my glasses.
