Why do eyeglasses cost so much?
Eyeglasses are a complex optical device that is manufactured with high-precision equipment. Often expensive materials are used for the glasses. All of this explains why eyeglasses can be expensive.
What should you do before buying glasses?
Let's look at what to look for when buying eyeglasses. The first is, of course, quality. The second is the choice of lenses of glasses. Here we focus attention on the material: they can be either glass or plastic. The third is the choice of frames.
What's the difference between expensive glasses and cheap glasses for vision?
The quality and accordingly the price of the lens depends on the presence of coatings on the lenses. The higher the price, the more coatings on the lens. Coatings make our vision more comfortable. Lens manufacturers do not stand still and improve the quality of lenses.
How do I know which glasses fit my face?
It's best if the width of the frame is equal to or slightly larger than the widest part of your face. The upper line of the frames should coincide with the line of eyebrows. Smooth shapes of glasses will emphasize rounded curves of the face. To emphasize high cheekbones choose the "butterfly" or "cat-eye" glasses.
Where can I see better with glasses or contact lenses?
With lenses, you can see better, so it turns out that extra obstacles don't distort the image. Lenses don't shed dust, don't catch glare from the sun and don't distort peripheral vision-no matter where we look, the image stays sharp.

Eyeglass Parties is the best! I've been going to them for years and I'm never disappointed. They give you an experience unlike any other optical shop. They have great customer service and an awesome frame selection. They are sure to have something that will meet all your wants and needs. Go check them out for yourself. Tell them I sent you.

I will follow Angela and Dr. Shewan anywhere! We drove down from 4 miles north of New Albany to get Dr. Shewan's extremely thorough eye exam. When you add Angela's customer service skills and optical knowledge and experience (not to mention her laugh), there's absolutely no reason to go anywhere else. I promise.

Service levels have slipped. They got my prescription wrong with no apology and then would not file my vision claim with my eye carrier. I would not recommend this provider unless you have time to follow-up on every detail.

First time at this location and I loved the eye exam. Dr Manning was awesome and so was his staff. I did feel that the eyeglasses were expensive and will be looking for the glasses with my prescription elsewhere. The only problem I had was the frames were expensive and the lady that sat with me to tell me about my benefits was kind of snooty.

We have seen Dr Shewan for over 20 years from when he was in Westerville. We currently live in Mount Vernon and can visit his current offices in either Mansfield or Canal Winchester. We recently decided to make an appointment with him at the Canal Winchester Eyeglass Parties location and so glad we did. Dr Shewan continues to provide expert optometry service. When it came to selecting new frames Angela provided each of us with friendly first class service. She was both professional and knowledgeable. We gladly give Dr Shewan and Angela our highest recommendation.
