Who is an optometrist and what does he or she do?
Optometry is a branch of ophthalmology that specializes in methods of correcting vision using optometric aids. An optometrist is a specialist who determines the degree of vision impairment and prescribes corrective aids such as glasses and contact lenses.
What is the difference between an ophthalmologist and an optometrist?
What is the difference between the profession of an optometrist and an ophthalmologist? An optometrist only provides initial diagnosis and can only treat refractive errors with conservative methods.
What does an optometrist do?

Why do eyeglasses cost so much?
Eyeglasses are a complex optical device that is manufactured with high-precision equipment. Often expensive materials are used for the glasses. All of this explains why eyeglasses can be expensive.
What should you do before buying glasses?
Let's look at what to look for when buying eyeglasses. The first is, of course, quality. The second is the choice of lenses of glasses. Here we focus attention on the material: they can be either glass or plastic. The third is the choice of frames.
What's the difference between expensive glasses and cheap glasses for vision?
The quality and accordingly the price of the lens depends on the presence of coatings on the lenses. The higher the price, the more coatings on the lens. Coatings make our vision more comfortable. Lens manufacturers do not stand still and improve the quality of lenses.
How do I know which glasses fit my face?
It's best if the width of the frame is equal to or slightly larger than the widest part of your face. The upper line of the frames should coincide with the line of eyebrows. Smooth shapes of glasses will emphasize rounded curves of the face. To emphasize high cheekbones choose the "butterfly" or "cat-eye" glasses.
Where can I see better with glasses or contact lenses?
With lenses, you can see better, so it turns out that extra obstacles don't distort the image. Lenses don't shed dust, don't catch glare from the sun and don't distort peripheral vision-no matter where we look, the image stays sharp.

I had a great experience was this location. The doctor was very friendly and so were the receptionist at desk and the young lady that rang up my insurance/bill. They have a great selection of designer eyeglasses there. I will come back again.

I was treated with kindness and professionalism. It was explained to me what was going on with my eyes which I understood and it made me feel at ease. I definitely will recommend Stonehenge Vision Source. Dr. Hayes and his associates deserve TEN Stars

Oh where do I start … to sum this up, the 99$ promotion is bogus, your out the door price will be closer to $200. Now.. the customer service here is awful. Most of the people here lack customer service, they don’t want to work with you. Another thing, be prepared to wait more than 2-3 weeks for glasses, contacts take longer to arrive just an FYI if you’re looking to receive something quicker, this is not the place! More like .. “America’s worst” & Im sure this isn’t there first time hearing that phrase. What a headache with them & such an inconvenience.

At 59 years old this was my first time needing an eye exam and feeling as if I needed a boost with my vision while reading-more than just magnification. The appointment process and the greeting upon my arrival were fine and appropriate. The lobby of the establishment is large, bright and open- and filled with dead and dying plants- all in desperate need of water and TLC. The lack of attention to such a prominent feature of their business was off- putting to say the least! The young lady who did my initial testing was professional in completing her tasks but not friendly or welcoming. The optometrist was excellent! His demeanor, his level of care and concern, his expertise and his warmth were nothing short of fantastic! The optometrist then handed me off to another male employee who was supposed to assist me in the glasses selection process. .He got out a few frames for me to try and put them on the counter. As I began trying them, he abruptly left the store, went outside and sat down at an outdoor table with a friend without saying a word and stated having lunch! I mentioned to the receptionist that my guy had just left the store. She looked very annoyed and awkwardly tried to cover. When the young man returned to the store he assisted another customer ( his lunch buddy) and ignored me entirely! The receptionist kept awkwardly trying to help but was obviously uncomfortable. I told her I had identified an acceptable pair I liked. She kept pulling more and more frames that were not what I said I was looking for. I finally asked, “ So what’s wrong with this pair that I like?” The two employees then met in a glass enclosed office next to the lobby and seemed to be arguing. Finally the young man re-approached me reluctantly, and asked for my personal information to write up the order. What a very strange place! Had the optometrist not been so professional and competent, I would have definitely walked out! There’s a very weird vibe in there!

I love this Doctor’s office! The staff is amazing and Dr. Kiarash Bassiri is really awesome! He’s not only a very thorough and skilled optometrist, he’s also innovative and gives such a personal touch. You leave knowing you have just had the “white glove” treatment. We have found our last family optometrist finally❤️
