Who is an optometrist and what does he or she do?
Optometry is a branch of ophthalmology that specializes in methods of correcting vision using optometric aids. An optometrist is a specialist who determines the degree of vision impairment and prescribes corrective aids such as glasses and contact lenses.

Why do eyeglasses cost so much?
Eyeglasses are a complex optical device that is manufactured with high-precision equipment. Often expensive materials are used for the glasses. All of this explains why eyeglasses can be expensive.
What should you do before buying glasses?
Let's look at what to look for when buying eyeglasses. The first is, of course, quality. The second is the choice of lenses of glasses. Here we focus attention on the material: they can be either glass or plastic. The third is the choice of frames.
What's the difference between expensive glasses and cheap glasses for vision?
The quality and accordingly the price of the lens depends on the presence of coatings on the lenses. The higher the price, the more coatings on the lens. Coatings make our vision more comfortable. Lens manufacturers do not stand still and improve the quality of lenses.
How do I know which glasses fit my face?
It's best if the width of the frame is equal to or slightly larger than the widest part of your face. The upper line of the frames should coincide with the line of eyebrows. Smooth shapes of glasses will emphasize rounded curves of the face. To emphasize high cheekbones choose the "butterfly" or "cat-eye" glasses.
Where can I see better with glasses or contact lenses?
With lenses, you can see better, so it turns out that extra obstacles don't distort the image. Lenses don't shed dust, don't catch glare from the sun and don't distort peripheral vision-no matter where we look, the image stays sharp.

Needed see a doctor! But older lady said they couldn't see me cause they was booked! Really where was everyone at, and doesn't that defeat the purpose of having a sign saying WALK INS AVAILABLE

Service was fatanstuc. They were knowledgeable. I brough my prescription and it took 20 minutes to complete my order. I had to pick frames, that took around 7 minutes. I will go back there for my next pair in 12 months.

Beware! This Company is unprofessional and offers very poor service and makes you drive in horrible conditions and when you arrive they refuse to see you. This is the second time they refused to see me for circumstances beyond my control. I would never recommend this place to anyone and have already contacted a local TV station and filled a complaint. I had a medical emergency with broken glasses and unable to reorder co tactics because my yearly exam expired. I will also file complaints with the state of South Carolina BBB and the attorney General. Do yourself a favor do not allow this Shady company to put you through what I did. I was 2 minutes over 15 minutes late only because of the weather.

Went there for my exam 2 weeks ago. The front desk didn’t have a clue what was going on! The techs ignored me because the chart was not pulled. The doctor finally got me in for my exam. When getting my glasses, Liz helped me. She and the lady next to her were very personable and helpful. The store manager walked around the store, with a full lobby, on his cell phone. Totally unacceptable. Today I went in to get my glasses. Kent helped me. He made sure I could see perfectly and told me I could return anytime to have my glasses adjusted or just cleaned. People like Liz and the gal next to her and Kent are who need to be working with the public. Those others need to go find a job where they can be hidden away.
Betsy S | Rating: 5 | Kiser Eye Care
I have now been there 2 times, 1 time about a year ago, and 1 time recently. I've seen 2 doctors and both have been excellent. I originally went to them because my experiences with Graystone Eyecare in Lincolnton was horrible and I would never go back to them. I see that others haven't had a good experience at Kiser, but mine was great, including the receptionist, the person who does the initial work up and the Doctor.
