Contact lenses are small lenses that are in "contact" with your eyes. They are designed to correct refractive errors and keep your eyes healthy. The lenses are in the tear film on the cornea. Modern contact lenses are small lenses worn over the cornea of the eye. Modern contact lenses whether soft or hard. Most people wear soft contact lenses, but it wasn't that long ago that lenses were made of glass. Colored contact lenses can make your eyes more intense or completely change the color of your eyes, and costume contact lenses can help create special effects seen on the big screen.
What is the difference between glasses and contact lenses?
Unlike glasses, contact lenses do not limit the field of vision. With glasses, the field of vision is limited, causing people to have to turn their head to see something from the side.
Can I sleep in contact lenses?
Modern soft contact lenses allow enough oxygen to the eye, but when you sleep, your eyes are closed and, therefore, the access of oxygen to them is reduced.
What are the harms of contact lenses?
Prolonged contact lens wear causes the cornea to thin (keratocytes lose their ability to synthesize new tissue). This can happen even with proper lens wear 3-5 years after use. In the case of reaction to hypoxia (lack of oxygen), the main complication is the formation of new blood vessels.

Bethany and Mary blew me away today. I came into the Owen Drive location with a twisted joint in my glasses and unfortunately they did not have the replacement. They gave me a few suggestions on places that might have the frames I need. After leaving and going to a few places I came back feeling defeated. It was then that they offered to see what they could do to get me thru the weekend. I'm not even a patient and they still took the time to help me. If everyone was like them the world would definitely be a better place. Thank you two so much.

I waited for about 10 minutes! That was all! I cancelled an appointment I had the week before at a different provider for having to wait 2 hours! Oh yes, the other provider was Cape Fear Eye Associates…they were rude and didn’t care that the wait was that long! At this place I was treated as an important part of their practice! I will continue to go here… UPDATE: Having ordered the glasses I wanted, I waited about 2 weeks for them to come in. Not unreasonable. However, what happened next was unreasonable.....the first pair of regular glasses were very "off" to me. I went away and THEN realised that they were NOT the line bifocal that I ALWAYS wear and NEVER asked to have that change. They were the lens that you have to look out of the center of the lens to see clearly. I forget the name but you know what I am talking about. I had to take them back for a re-do. They said that my eye doctor had thought they would be best! What???? I am the one wearing them, I AM THE ONE TO DECIDE WHAT IS BEST! Okay, waiting another 2 weeks for the correct lens...in the meantime....the sunglasses that I bought along with the regular glasses are filled with a black streak going across the lens. I called them for this and they ordered new lenses. I really don't like the "zebra striped" frame that I was, what I feel now looking back on, RUSHED into buying. The woman that was working with me in picking out frames was pushing everything on me that I would not normally even look at! I asked her if they could just replace the lenses in my old Ray Ban's and she said it would probably cost more....I don't think that would be possible! And I walked out of there without ever getting the cost to just replace the lenses in my favorite shades. That's on me, absolutely....however, I feel that I was bamboozled by this woman! I now have a pair of shades that I can't wear (I moved from the area and never got in there to change out the lenses).....I wear my old ones and they really don't seem to be a different prescription at all! I would not return there if I was still living in Fayetteville. Eyeglasses should not be this hard to find.

Loved it here. Not only was the doctor really concerned about my children's vision but he actually listened to what they had to say. He took his time with them and got the the treatment that they needed. I recommend this establishment to anyone.
