Whomever the lady is who was working today (Saturday) was extremely disappointing. I went in to pick up my husband’s contacts (he had ordered them ahead of time and they were ready to be picked up.) The woman working was not at all friendly, actually bordering on rude, and come to find out, she only gave me contacts for ONE of his eyes! He needs both, obviously, and this has caused a huge problem because he needs them for tomorrow morning (Sunday, when you’re closed.) It has been a horrible experience from start to finish today. I do not wear glasses so I’m not familiar with the practices and procedures at an optician’s office, nor did I think to look to make sure I had contacts for both eyes…one would think this is kind of a given. This woman works at Council Opticians - how does she not know to give contacts for both eyes?!?! Very dissatisfied with the entire experience today.

Went to the West Seneca location because my employer sent me there to get a pair of safety glasses. I had my prescription from my own optical. Mary refused to order them the way I wanted them(non-bifocal) because the prescription shows that. All she was concerned with was spelling. Granted the free frames my employer was paying for were ugly. She also wanted me to go with no-line bifocal(I didn't even want bifocals ) Last straw was she said she would place the order but when I called two week later they hadn't because I didn't pay for them. I went to my optical and even though my employer wouldn't contribute it was well worth it. Will never go here again.

I just had a bad experience with them the lady didn't care or concerned about my diabetic situation they con me into getting glasses last year and I told them before I left the building I couldn't see out of them I paid out of my pocket for them forthem to sit in the case when I got a letter to come back for my yr exam the receptionist gave me attitude keep cutting me off as I was talking, very rude go somewhere else where the people care about you.

I'm am so pleased and happy I kept my appointment for today 10/25/19. In the past year or so, I have been to two different optical places and was dissatisfied. However, after reading several reviews and how Old School they were, I decided to take a chance on making an appointment. It was the best experience ever. The Doctor took his time, explained in details my examination and the entire staff was pleasant and knowledgeable! Can't wait for my glasses to arrive. Zilliox used to be the best. I have been sitting here for 40 minutes while they try to bill my insurance for contacts. The woman has said, "I do not know how to do this...". This is craziness and pure torture. Finally, after 35 minutes, she asked for assistance. After everything, they told me the incorrect price which I noticed. Also, a spider crawled up my arm - not their fault but further added to the torture if this place.
