Who is an optometrist and what does he or she do?
Optometry is a branch of ophthalmology that specializes in methods of correcting vision using optometric aids. An optometrist is a specialist who determines the degree of vision impairment and prescribes corrective aids such as glasses and contact lenses.

Why do eyeglasses cost so much?
Eyeglasses are a complex optical device that is manufactured with high-precision equipment. Often expensive materials are used for the glasses. All of this explains why eyeglasses can be expensive.
What should you do before buying glasses?
Let's look at what to look for when buying eyeglasses. The first is, of course, quality. The second is the choice of lenses of glasses. Here we focus attention on the material: they can be either glass or plastic. The third is the choice of frames.
What's the difference between expensive glasses and cheap glasses for vision?
The quality and accordingly the price of the lens depends on the presence of coatings on the lenses. The higher the price, the more coatings on the lens. Coatings make our vision more comfortable. Lens manufacturers do not stand still and improve the quality of lenses.
How do I know which glasses fit my face?
It's best if the width of the frame is equal to or slightly larger than the widest part of your face. The upper line of the frames should coincide with the line of eyebrows. Smooth shapes of glasses will emphasize rounded curves of the face. To emphasize high cheekbones choose the "butterfly" or "cat-eye" glasses.
Where can I see better with glasses or contact lenses?
With lenses, you can see better, so it turns out that extra obstacles don't distort the image. Lenses don't shed dust, don't catch glare from the sun and don't distort peripheral vision-no matter where we look, the image stays sharp.

Have been a patient of Dr Rasmussen for several years. He has been closely following a condition that was discovered in a routine check up a few years ago. He is excellent at explaining the condition and prognosis. Eye exam is always thorough and professional and never rushed.

My initial visit to this place was wonderful and I really thought the provider was wonderful and so was the staff. Second time around since I drive from ABQ down to SF I have to take the highway and they was an accident that made me run late. I was called by the receptionist that asked me if I was give minutes away and I told her I was. I got there around 0915 and waited a few minutes to be seen till someone from the optical acknowledge me. By the time I was seen she told me I was 20 minutes late and that I could no longer could be seen. I went to my car and it was 0921 which meant I had been there before the 20 minute mark they have for cancelations. I was very frustrated that they still made go in when they could have just told me on the phone they would not take me instead of having me continue to drive just to be rejected. With the prescription given the pupillary distance given to me was 24.5 for each eye. I order glasses online and got them and sure enough the pupillary distance was wrong. I'm actually a 28 on right eye and 29.5 on left eye. So for the inconvenience this place has placed me I given it 3 stars and will definitely not be recommending this place.

I went and had my eyes check. I have been wearing glasses since I was 7. The doctor gave me a new rx with a better prescription then I have had in 10 years. I said that might not be right. He didn't listen. Glasses come in and I can't see. They check my eyes again and give me a new rx. Dr says it's not that different. Actually it was very different. Glasses come in a week later, can only see if I look straight on. If you look out the lens at an angle, i.e. Looking down or sideways, blurry. Not sure what is going on here. Maybe poor quality lenses. Not happy As of August 17th I still do not have glasses I can see out of! 4th time must be the charm

Took a pair of glasses I purchased at another Lenscrafters location for trade in under the EPP as they were not confortable. Was told the new glasses would be in "in a few days". Received a text that my glasses were ready and was handed the same pair of glasses I brought back (they WERE in a case though). I was given no explanation or an apology, just told it would be 7-10 business days. It is now well past that and STILL no glasses. Was told 2 days ago the glasses were shipped on 7/31 and should be available the 2nd or 3rd. Today I was told maybe tomorrow and they have no control over UPS. I can track things on UPS but Lenscrafters apparently doesn't have that power. And now when I call the amount of time keeps getting increased....from 7-10 days to 10-14 days. I expect the next time I call I'll be told 30 days. Absolutely worst Lenscrafters location I have ever dealt with and I had been a customer for 20+ years. Updated: found out the manager of the location was out of the office for a couple of weeks. Estevan was VERY helpful. explaining (finally) that the glasses are actually coming from China (what kind of business modek is THAT Lenscrafters?) and showing me tracking information. It's sad that no one else in the store could/would do that for me.

I came in with broken nose pads on my glasses and Jose fixed them and cleaned my glasses free of charge. Even though I didn’t buy the glasses from lens crafters they helped me. They were very accommodating and I recommend this place to anyone who has the same issue.
