Eye exams is a procedure to evaluate the functions of the eye that provide normal vision. Namely, how the size, shape, and color of objects are perceived, as well as their location relative to each other. Eye exams are necessary for the timely detection of abnormalities and successful correction. Eye exams include accurate determination of the patient's visual acuity and refraction, intraocular pressure measurements, microscopic examination of the eye (biomicroscopy), pachymetry (corneal thickness measurement), echobiometry (eye length determination), ultrasound eye examination (B-scan), computer keratotopography and thorough retinal (eye fundus) examination with a wide pupil, tear production level determination and detailed visual field examination of the patient. Various methods are used to test vision, the results of which allow the doctor to identify abnormalities and prescribe a correction.

I came in with concerns about my eyes and issues I was having with them, and they listened to my concerns and took plenty of steps in checking my eyes and nerves to figure out the problems. Dr. Giron took the time to explain various things as she was examining me and she really put my mind at ease. She and her staff are very warm and friendly, too. I highly recommend her!

My visit was by far one of the worst experience’s in my life! I scheduled an eye exam, and after waiting for about ten minutes one of the store associates kept insisting on me selecting glasses. I advised her I was only doing an eye exam, and not purchasing glasses. She left to speak to the manager, and when she came back she insisted I was scheduled for exam and purchase. I advised her that my appointment should only be for an exam, and that it was set up incorrectly. Instead of correcting their error, or offering to correct their oversight, she stated it was company policy, and then escorted me out like some criminal! I will never, ever schedule, or recommend this place to anyone!

I recommend going elsewhere. The biggest issue we had was that my 15 year old daughter was apparently not holding her eye open enough for the machine that blows air pressure. The GM was conducting the exam. She didn’t say anything to her or me about it. She asked someone from the eyeglass room to come help her. As the helper approached she asked her to use some hand sanitizer (not even wash her hands). Then she had her hold my daughters eyelid open. They did not ask for consent to do this. It was unsanitary and violating. I could not believe it. I told the GM after that it as not right to not get consent to do that to a person’s body part nor to not tell her what you were doing. That experience reflects the whole experience really. It was lik being run through a factory impersonally. The exam is done with a remote doctor. When I went to pay for the exam, I have a copay of $10. They wanted to charge $17 because they wanted me to pay for the tax. This is the first time I have ever encountered that. There were other issues but these were the worst.
