My rating is due to the staff at Lenscrafters. I had a 1pm appointment (confirmed online through their email service) and when we got there the staff person told me my appointment was at 12:40 and I had to reschedule. They would not take my son in for his scheduled appointment. Such a waste of time! I had to take leave from work plus gas to get my son back and forth to home. As a single parent, this does not work for me, or my children. I will take my business elsewhere. Dr. Sandoval, you should vet your staff better.

Barbara was great. She gave great fashion advice and tolerated me and my partner’s antics. The tall tech, he was hilarious! Forgot his name; but he’s the dude from Palm Springs! Love that guy! The ophthalmologist (at least I’m assuming he was a physician?) was exceptionally thorough, and efficient. As a side note: your POS system is absolutely terrible. You NEED TO UPGRADE to something like clover or stripe etc. Stop using outdated tech.

The exam experience was great, however, when we were checking out, we were charged $49 each (my son and I) instead of the copay expected of $10 each. When I asked why it was so much more, I was told it was for a special machine they used. I was not offered the option of tradional eye exam prior, and was not prepared for the extra cost. I am a single mother with every cent planned in my budget and now we will not be able to afford the actual glasses for a while. I didn't make an issue out of the charges, however, it is very unlikely I will ever patronize them again due to the hidden costs not previously discussed. It doesn't seem honest.
