Who is an optometrist and what does he or she do?

Why do eyeglasses cost so much?
Eyeglasses are a complex optical device that is manufactured with high-precision equipment. Often expensive materials are used for the glasses. All of this explains why eyeglasses can be expensive.
What should you do before buying glasses?
Let's look at what to look for when buying eyeglasses. The first is, of course, quality. The second is the choice of lenses of glasses. Here we focus attention on the material: they can be either glass or plastic. The third is the choice of frames.
What's the difference between expensive glasses and cheap glasses for vision?
The quality and accordingly the price of the lens depends on the presence of coatings on the lenses. The higher the price, the more coatings on the lens. Coatings make our vision more comfortable. Lens manufacturers do not stand still and improve the quality of lenses.
How do I know which glasses fit my face?
It's best if the width of the frame is equal to or slightly larger than the widest part of your face. The upper line of the frames should coincide with the line of eyebrows. Smooth shapes of glasses will emphasize rounded curves of the face. To emphasize high cheekbones choose the "butterfly" or "cat-eye" glasses.
Where can I see better with glasses or contact lenses?
With lenses, you can see better, so it turns out that extra obstacles don't distort the image. Lenses don't shed dust, don't catch glare from the sun and don't distort peripheral vision-no matter where we look, the image stays sharp.

I have been using glasses and seeing eye doctors since I was 5 and I have never had better care than here! Everyone is super nice and helpful. The office is not huge but everything is exceptionally organized and clean! The doctor conducts such a thorough exam and really pays attention to detail. She even asks for my health history, which believe it or not which was a first for me from an eye doctor. I have a lot of health issues and she always goes over the top to make sure she covers all the basis (for her and my other medical providers) to make sure everything is working the way it should. Overall great experience and totally recommend!

Great experience. Everyone from Dr. Domingues to the entire staff is excellent. The office is professional, clean and comfortable. They equipment is all new, which was nice because my old eye doc had equipment from the 80's and old panel walls. The doctor is thorough and efficient. I especially applaud the staff for their friendliness and recommendations. They are very busy but I’ve never waited longer than 10-15 minutes to see Dr. Maria. I love coming here.

The proper exams were not preformed in order to advise someone that they have glaucoma upon their first visit. The exam that was performed was very ROUGH and not at all reassuring. I was not walked through the process and was bombarded with machinery being plowed into my eye just to be told that I am at the wrong place and need to see a neurologist for a simple allergic reaction. Glaucoma isn’t something you just spring on a person in the first visit. Please do better.

As being a patient of Dr Carla and Maria for some time now, I can say that they are the most sympathetic and caring eye doctors I’ve ever been to. They are very professional and extremely experienced. The staff is incredibly helpful, friendly, and ready to assist any needs. At pink vision they really treat you like family and want the best for you. I have recommended my entire family to visit their practice and they have all been more than extremely satisfied. Both doctors take the time and effort to make the patient feel comfortable and explain/answer any questions you may have clearly. They give their patients the best plan for their conditions, which best accommodates to their needs. They also have a great selection of eye wear that the staff can help you choose from. I would not get my glasses anywhere else!

I visited Dr Carla about 2 months ago. She knows what she is doing. Very professional and takes the time to explain to you whatever you have in complete details. Super caring, friendly, Knowledgeable young Dr. The Problem I have is that I took the prescription to another place to pick up a frame and the new lenses. After wearing the glasses I felt dizzy and I was loosing my balance. I tried to call her several times and left few messages for her to call me back but she did not. Maybe she never got the messages. I finally went to another eye doctor who told me that I got the wrong prescription. I had to pay $400 from my pocket for the new glasses. I don't want to blame Dr. Carla for writing the wrong prescription coz maybe one of her assistance made that mistake. She should review the prescriptions before hand them out.
