Who is an optometrist and what does he or she do?

Why do eyeglasses cost so much?
Eyeglasses are a complex optical device that is manufactured with high-precision equipment. Often expensive materials are used for the glasses. All of this explains why eyeglasses can be expensive.
What should you do before buying glasses?
Let's look at what to look for when buying eyeglasses. The first is, of course, quality. The second is the choice of lenses of glasses. Here we focus attention on the material: they can be either glass or plastic. The third is the choice of frames.
What's the difference between expensive glasses and cheap glasses for vision?
The quality and accordingly the price of the lens depends on the presence of coatings on the lenses. The higher the price, the more coatings on the lens. Coatings make our vision more comfortable. Lens manufacturers do not stand still and improve the quality of lenses.
How do I know which glasses fit my face?
It's best if the width of the frame is equal to or slightly larger than the widest part of your face. The upper line of the frames should coincide with the line of eyebrows. Smooth shapes of glasses will emphasize rounded curves of the face. To emphasize high cheekbones choose the "butterfly" or "cat-eye" glasses.
Where can I see better with glasses or contact lenses?
With lenses, you can see better, so it turns out that extra obstacles don't distort the image. Lenses don't shed dust, don't catch glare from the sun and don't distort peripheral vision-no matter where we look, the image stays sharp.

This place is like any other franchise exam place. You get what you pay for but Wrica the sales associate was the best. She was patient and went out her way to help me find my style of frames which I really appreciated. Ask for Erica to help you.

Loved this place! Great customer service. I wish I could remember her name but the front desk tech was so pleasant. The doctor took her time and explained what was going on with my eyes. Very attentive. Clean office!

I take my son here for glasses and his eye exams. Dr Hersh is nice, just a little quick with patients in my opinion. Now Jerry, the guy who does glasses on the other side from where the exams are done is WONDERFUL! I have never been somewhere and felt so welcomed! He is great with kids, and adults. He and his wife work along side each other, and they are the reason I continue to take my son there, they are a little pricy, but you can't get better customer service anywhere!

I love Walmart! And they are great for a lot of things but I was really surprised when I saw this item, for this amount at this store
Xolotl Xolotl | Rating: 2 | Soho Optical
Although Dr. Hong's demeanor was professional during my eye exam, it was not warm, personal or inviting. Sadly, I did not feel welcomed or even appreciated as a patient/customer. During this experience, I also found the Soho Eyewear representative to be somewhat stoic and not quite as personable as I remember her during my last visit over two years ago. Perhaps it's just that everyone is stressed out and feeling overwhelmed with pandemic fatigue, but it is also a sad reminder that kindness seems to have vanished from our everyday interactions in society. I don't think that I will be returning to this practice for my future eyecare needs.
