Who is an optometrist and what does he or she do?

Optometry is a branch of ophthalmology that specializes in methods of correcting vision using optometric aids. An optometrist is a specialist who determines the degree of vision impairment and prescribes corrective aids such as glasses and contact lenses.

What is the difference between an ophthalmologist and an optometrist?

What is the difference between the profession of an optometrist and an ophthalmologist? An optometrist only provides initial diagnosis and can only treat refractive errors with conservative methods.

What does an optometrist do?

Functionality: eye examinations, selection of types of vision correction (glasses, lenses), recommendations on eyeglass lens designs and contact lens materials, and advanced medical services. Why do eyeglasses cost so much?

Eyeglasses are a complex optical device that is manufactured with high-precision equipment. Often expensive materials are used for the glasses. All of this explains why eyeglasses can be expensive.

What should you do before buying glasses?

Let's look at what to look for when buying eyeglasses. The first is, of course, quality. The second is the choice of lenses of glasses. Here we focus attention on the material: they can be either glass or plastic. The third is the choice of frames.

What's the difference between expensive glasses and cheap glasses for vision?

The quality and accordingly the price of the lens depends on the presence of coatings on the lenses. The higher the price, the more coatings on the lens. Coatings make our vision more comfortable. Lens manufacturers do not stand still and improve the quality of lenses.

How do I know which glasses fit my face?

It's best if the width of the frame is equal to or slightly larger than the widest part of your face. The upper line of the frames should coincide with the line of eyebrows. Smooth shapes of glasses will emphasize rounded curves of the face. To emphasize high cheekbones choose the "butterfly" or "cat-eye" glasses.

Where can I see better with glasses or contact lenses?

With lenses, you can see better, so it turns out that extra obstacles don't distort the image. Lenses don't shed dust, don't catch glare from the sun and don't distort peripheral vision-no matter where we look, the image stays sharp.

I needed an eye exam and currently have Medicaid. I had called 5 places and each one said they did not take my particular brand of Medicaid (Blue Cross/ Blue Shield). I called this place and spoke to Marisol. She was professional, Kind, and understanding. While they did not take my insurance she gave me the name and number to two placed that did. I wasn't a customer, but I received great customer service. When my insurance changes, and if they take it, I will come here for my exams and eye glasses purchases. Thank you Marisol.

Dr. Swedberg is excellent. He is super thorough at the same time very efficient. His office assistant Marisol is the best. She runs a tight ship. I hope he's there for a while because I really like him and I will follow wherever he goes if he ever leaves Walmart, crossing fingers that he won't.

The doctors here are great, the optician side is ridiculous! They nickel and dime you to a ridiculous degree. Someone in the back said they would give the pupilary distance (which takes less than 5 seconds for them to measure!) However, even after spending about $350 on a pair of glasses, they wanted another $25 to reveal the number that they JUST had already measured. The staff are okay, some pretty argumentative and rather rude. Every move they make, they charge us. I would recommend ANY other place than here! UPDATE: The manager called me to argue with me about what I was told in the appointment. I may have misunderstood what she said about not charging for PD measurement (although I don't believe so), however even once I told her that she continued to argue with me. I hope I don't continue to get harassed by the staff when I go to pick up my daughter's glasses (I wanted to cancel order, but was told too late)

I brought my eyeglasses for they are lose and I’m not sure if they can do it for me. Ashley, was very helpful and made sure that my glasses are comfortable to wear. She’s very patient and very attentive. I will be coming back for my contact lenses next time.

F Bradley  |  Rating: 5  |  Dynamic Eye Care

I rarely write reviews unless the exceptionally good or bad experience happens. The experience with Dynamic Eye Care presented both emotions so it seemed appropriate to write one. Three months ago, my significant other and I used this facility to purchase a new pair of glasses. He insisted that we shop locally despite my reservation on needing to get the final product to a location out of state. Unfortunately, my apprehension became reality when the pair of eyeglasses purchased was lost during shipping to its final destination. We allowed for the recommended time suggested by the staff and when the glasses failed to arrive, we called the office for further action. Allow me to say that this small office not only listened and immediately began troubleshooting the issue but made us whole with amazing customer service. The office staff consistently informed us of the progress of trying to track the original order. It became evident that the order was not going to show up. When they realized the same thing, they quickly reordered a second pair and once arrived, we picked them up to avoid a second lost in the mail occurrence. They took the time to fit, polish, and ensure that the glasses were perfect. Additionally, they ensured we were reimbursed our shipping charge from the initial order. We are grateful for the wonderful staff and the overall experience. We would recommend the clinic to anyone looking for phenomenal customer service and a great full service eye clinic.
