I came here on a recommendation (and, to be honest, because it's covered by my insurance). This was easily the best optometrist experience I've had - the doctor was happy to answer all my questions, and Brett's customer service is outstanding. He took the time to pick out several frames for me to try on based on my preferences and gave excellent feedback on each, and had my glasses ready within three days once I chose my frames. I had to go back to get the arms adjusted, and each time I returned he greeted me with a smile, attended to me immediately and gave me a rose on my way out. I can't recommend Spectacle Shoppe highly enough.

My previous eye clinic was no longer taking my insurance so I decided to give this eye clinic a try due to the high rating reviews. I would love to start off by saying I had some great and terrible experiences here which is why I hesitated to write a review. The staff is mainly super friendly but due to my experience I took two stars off. I was given contacts to try prior to purchasing new contacts and after two weeks of trying them I called in informing them that the contacts were irritating my eyes and what my next steps should be. They said that they would call me back after consulting with the eye doctor. I didn’t get a call back so I called back two days later and the lady on the phone scheduled me for a contact lense check in with the eye doctor. I went to my appointment with just my glasses and arrived to the front desk. The lady at the desk was shocked that I didn’t bring my contacts and told me I could not be seen that day and proceeded to reschedule me. So I left that day without seeing the doctor and wasted my time. I get it. It’s a contact lense check in appointment, why didn’t I just bring my contacts? Well, first off, I didn’t know I should have worn them because they didn’t tell me to and secondly, I’ve only done contact lense eye exams where they ask for me to wear my glasses so of course someone who has never done a contact lense check in wouldn’t know to bring their contacts. When I finally got to see the eye doctor for this check in, she seemed to be pressuring me to like these contacts I was given to try. I kept telling her it didn’t work out and she would continue to ask me if I have tried x, y, and z to make to work which made me feel uncared for as a patient. She finally gave me the contacts brand that I had previously used so things are all squared away now. I really wanted this clinic to work because they seem nice but unfortunately, I’m gonna look for a new place next year.

I would generally recommend that people shop for glasses and doctors seperately. I went to Broecker ' s office strictly for an eye exam and was very happy. Dr. Swenson did a good and thorough job and was patient in answering all my silly questions. Just today I called them to get a copy of my prescription and they got it to me right away. I'm very happy and will go back there for my next exam. The staff was all friendly and helpful.
