Who is an optometrist and what does he or she do?

Optometry is a branch of ophthalmology that specializes in methods of correcting vision using optometric aids. An optometrist is a specialist who determines the degree of vision impairment and prescribes corrective aids such as glasses and contact lenses.

What is the difference between an ophthalmologist and an optometrist?

What is the difference between the profession of an optometrist and an ophthalmologist? An optometrist only provides initial diagnosis and can only treat refractive errors with conservative methods.

Why do eyeglasses cost so much?

Eyeglasses are a complex optical device that is manufactured with high-precision equipment. Often expensive materials are used for the glasses. All of this explains why eyeglasses can be expensive.

What should you do before buying glasses?

Let's look at what to look for when buying eyeglasses. The first is, of course, quality. The second is the choice of lenses of glasses. Here we focus attention on the material: they can be either glass or plastic. The third is the choice of frames.

What's the difference between expensive glasses and cheap glasses for vision?

The quality and accordingly the price of the lens depends on the presence of coatings on the lenses. The higher the price, the more coatings on the lens. Coatings make our vision more comfortable. Lens manufacturers do not stand still and improve the quality of lenses.

How do I know which glasses fit my face?

It's best if the width of the frame is equal to or slightly larger than the widest part of your face. The upper line of the frames should coincide with the line of eyebrows. Smooth shapes of glasses will emphasize rounded curves of the face. To emphasize high cheekbones choose the "butterfly" or "cat-eye" glasses.

Where can I see better with glasses or contact lenses?

With lenses, you can see better, so it turns out that extra obstacles don't distort the image. Lenses don't shed dust, don't catch glare from the sun and don't distort peripheral vision-no matter where we look, the image stays sharp.

The glasses staff part is not the best. The woman who helped me after my appointment find a pair of glasses was helpful. Went to pickup my glasses today and a different woman brought me dirty lenses…and basically didn’t even sit down and was like do they hurt your head??? Umm what??? Also gave me a Ray-ban case when I didn’t buy Ray-bans.

Literally one of the worst experiences I have ever had. 5 months ago I went in for my first eye appointment. A month later, my eyeglasses came in, but they were incorrect. I couldn't see! After multiple trips back, I had a "recheck" with Dr. Peterson. He had made a mistake in the initial prescription. I completely understand mistakes happen - but here I am, a month and a half after the recheck appointment and STILL NO GLASSES. I call and leave messages - and no one EVER calls me back. They are obviously avoiding me at this point. I've spent time and money and have absolutely nothing to show for it.

I don’t know why this facility has so many good reviews. I do not recommend this location due to the fact they don’t respect your time but, expect you to respect theirs. Specifically, Dr. K. Im not exactly sure what that is all about. I work 40 hours a week, sometimes more just like the average person. I’ve been to this location twice and won’t be returning. The first time a few weeks turned into a few months to just to get my glasses and they didn’t even have the decency to call me and let me know they will be late or even when they arrived (finally). Not one call with an update. I had to call them every other week. Some of the people answering the phones didn’t even know how to correctly respond to a question or gave misinformation. They said the hold up was due to COVID. Just overall very unprofessional and incompetent based on my experience. I’m even questioning the accuracy of the examinations at this point. There was only one receptionist that was professional. I used to go to the other location for several years and never had one issue. This place is not worth the headache.

V is such a helpful young lady, I brought my mother in law in to look for glasses and she explained everything SUPER detailed! Ask for V because she has everything memorized and we learned a lot of things other opticians never told us going here for YEARS

Little over a month ago I had my first experience with Rosemont eye clinic. It was nothing short of excellent. There really know how to take care of their customers in every way. Dr lush is a great dude. Along with everyone else there. I would highly recommend anybody looking for a good local optometrist and optometry place to go and SEE how clear they will put things into FOCUS for you and EYE (I)
