Why do eyeglasses cost so much?
Eyeglasses are a complex optical device that is manufactured with high-precision equipment. Often expensive materials are used for the glasses. All of this explains why eyeglasses can be expensive.
What should you do before buying glasses?
Let's look at what to look for when buying eyeglasses. The first is, of course, quality. The second is the choice of lenses of glasses. Here we focus attention on the material: they can be either glass or plastic. The third is the choice of frames.
What's the difference between expensive glasses and cheap glasses for vision?
The quality and accordingly the price of the lens depends on the presence of coatings on the lenses. The higher the price, the more coatings on the lens. Coatings make our vision more comfortable. Lens manufacturers do not stand still and improve the quality of lenses.
How do I know which glasses fit my face?
It's best if the width of the frame is equal to or slightly larger than the widest part of your face. The upper line of the frames should coincide with the line of eyebrows. Smooth shapes of glasses will emphasize rounded curves of the face. To emphasize high cheekbones choose the "butterfly" or "cat-eye" glasses.
Where can I see better with glasses or contact lenses?
With lenses, you can see better, so it turns out that extra obstacles don't distort the image. Lenses don't shed dust, don't catch glare from the sun and don't distort peripheral vision-no matter where we look, the image stays sharp.

Great experience as always! I absolutely love Dr. Phillips and her staff. They are always so friendly and professional; they always go above and beyond to make sure all of my needs are met and I am satisfied. Dr. Phillips was kind enough to keep the office open late for me since I was coming from out of town. Dr. Phillips and the staff make sure to explain everything and why it is important for the health of your eyes. I have a difficult prescription so Dr. Phillips worked with me to find the perfect contacts that would provide me with the best vision and comfort. They also have the best selection of glasses, all of the frames are adorable. I always have the hardest time choosing luckily the staff has great fashion advice! I will always travel to see Dr. Phillips, I wouldn't trust my vision with anyone else she truly is the Best! I wish I enjoyed going to all of my doctors as much as I enjoy going to Dr. Phillips.

After receiving my classes, I came home to realize that one of the lenses was damaged. The Center ordered new ones. Once these came in, one of them was damaged again while trying to insert them into the frame. Had to wait another 6 days to receive my glasses. When I picked them up, they were dirty and the box was damaged. Not worth $400 glasses. Will not return.

1st visit was told my face was too fat and looked at men's glasses. 2nd visit took 2 months to be seen. With zero information regarding forms, was emailed and called daily to fill out forms prior to appointment. Still unsure of their urgency in these forms, they then canceled my appointment two days before because forms were not filled out. I always arrive to all appointments and meetings with ample time to accommodate forms being filled out, settling in, etc. Even knowing I will still be waiting to be seen. It's called respect. Was told they implemented their overly obnoxious forms deadline to help regulate time management, but they had enough time to call me daily. Seems their internal problems are trickling down to their patients. Never once was made aware of any other reasoning as to why this was needed, but nonetheless was expected to comply with their unorganized practices. While I enjoy Dr. Hanlin, I can't with good faith, recommend wasting time with the staff and that is so out of touch to busy people's lives. I'd rather go to Costco or another quick trip eye exam place where at least respect is shown and reciprocated.

Dr. Phillips and her staff couldn't be more wonderful. I've been a patient for 20 years and they're professional, friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help in even the craziest of situations. I would, and do, recommend them to everyone!

Professional and thoughtful staff. They were excellent with my 16 month old daughter's first eye exam. My husband and I are patients as well. We love this place! They take the time to explain everything and are timely and courteous. I highly recommend this office.
