Why do eyeglasses cost so much?
Eyeglasses are a complex optical device that is manufactured with high-precision equipment. Often expensive materials are used for the glasses. All of this explains why eyeglasses can be expensive.
What should you do before buying glasses?
Let's look at what to look for when buying eyeglasses. The first is, of course, quality. The second is the choice of lenses of glasses. Here we focus attention on the material: they can be either glass or plastic. The third is the choice of frames.
What's the difference between expensive glasses and cheap glasses for vision?
The quality and accordingly the price of the lens depends on the presence of coatings on the lenses. The higher the price, the more coatings on the lens. Coatings make our vision more comfortable. Lens manufacturers do not stand still and improve the quality of lenses.
How do I know which glasses fit my face?
It's best if the width of the frame is equal to or slightly larger than the widest part of your face. The upper line of the frames should coincide with the line of eyebrows. Smooth shapes of glasses will emphasize rounded curves of the face. To emphasize high cheekbones choose the "butterfly" or "cat-eye" glasses.
Where can I see better with glasses or contact lenses?
With lenses, you can see better, so it turns out that extra obstacles don't distort the image. Lenses don't shed dust, don't catch glare from the sun and don't distort peripheral vision-no matter where we look, the image stays sharp.

Great optometrist! Dr. Xu is really nice and gives the best care. At first, I had no idea what ortho-k lenses were but when I found out it was nothing short of a miracle for me. You basically wear them at night. And by day, seeing clearly is no problem. It takes a couple of days to get used to it, but it’s definitely worth it. I play tennis and practice taekwondo, both cause me to sweat a lot. When I had glasses they were a big hassle, constantly slipping off and fogging up. Every few seconds I would have to push my glasses back up my face. In taekwondo we spar (fight), which meant that I had to take off my glasses. I couldn’t see well, and oftentimes got pummeled. In tennis I have to sprint all the time, and my glasses held me back because I thought they were going to fall off. Now I can play my best without glasses interfering. Ortho-k is really awesome and if you decide to buy them, come to HB eye care center.

Do not waste your time. I would leave zero stars if I could. Left me a voice mail on a friday around 2pm saying they would email me a link to fill out forms, or they would cancel my appointment. Never received a link, but they cancelled my appointment by 5pm. Thanks for giving me 2 hours, while I am at work, to fill out forms. Best part is, I had logged into my account and it had said that the office had all the information they needed. Called first thing in the morning when they opened the next day and they had already filled my time slot. Clearly they don't need my business, so I will gladly take it somewhere local.

Was the quickest eye exam I've ever had. So quick the Rx was INCORRECT! My right eye has never been worse than my left in 35 years of wearing glasses. Bought 3 pairs of glasses last year and now have to buy more with the RIGHT Rx. Do not recommend!

had a horrible experience with them. The person whom I talked to on phone yelled and screamed at me. These people need to know how to treat their customers better. I will never ever recommend visionworks to anyone.

These Ortho-K lenses have changed my life. Being both a runner and a swimmer, having glasses was a huge pain in the neck. I hated that my glasses wobbled around when running, slipped when I was sweaty, and that I couldn’t wear them while swimming, meaning I could see my swim sets and didn’t know what to swim during practice. Then I heard about Ortho-K lenses. With these new lenses, I can now focus more on the sport I was playing rather than on thinking about when my glasses would slip down again. I can also have great vision without having glasses that fog up every time I breath through my mask. Spending just a few minutes every morning and night to take them off and put them on is totally worth it. These lenses are worn at night, although you can feel them there, there is no discomfort at all.
