Who is an optometrist and what does he or she do?

Optometry is a branch of ophthalmology that specializes in methods of correcting vision using optometric aids. An optometrist is a specialist who determines the degree of vision impairment and prescribes corrective aids such as glasses and contact lenses.

What is the difference between an ophthalmologist and an optometrist?

What is the difference between the profession of an optometrist and an ophthalmologist? An optometrist only provides initial diagnosis and can only treat refractive errors with conservative methods.

What does an optometrist do?

Functionality: eye examinations, selection of types of vision correction (glasses, lenses), recommendations on eyeglass lens designs and contact lens materials, and advanced medical services. Why do eyeglasses cost so much?

Eyeglasses are a complex optical device that is manufactured with high-precision equipment. Often expensive materials are used for the glasses. All of this explains why eyeglasses can be expensive.

What should you do before buying glasses?

Let's look at what to look for when buying eyeglasses. The first is, of course, quality. The second is the choice of lenses of glasses. Here we focus attention on the material: they can be either glass or plastic. The third is the choice of frames.

What's the difference between expensive glasses and cheap glasses for vision?

The quality and accordingly the price of the lens depends on the presence of coatings on the lenses. The higher the price, the more coatings on the lens. Coatings make our vision more comfortable. Lens manufacturers do not stand still and improve the quality of lenses.

How do I know which glasses fit my face?

It's best if the width of the frame is equal to or slightly larger than the widest part of your face. The upper line of the frames should coincide with the line of eyebrows. Smooth shapes of glasses will emphasize rounded curves of the face. To emphasize high cheekbones choose the "butterfly" or "cat-eye" glasses.

Where can I see better with glasses or contact lenses?

With lenses, you can see better, so it turns out that extra obstacles don't distort the image. Lenses don't shed dust, don't catch glare from the sun and don't distort peripheral vision-no matter where we look, the image stays sharp.

Bobbin, the owner, had a extremely sharp eye for what looked best on my face. He also made the entire process easy by explaining everything very clearly. I knew exactly what I was buying and had no uncertainties at all. He bends over backwards to please his customers too. My girlfriend also got a pair here and didn't quite like them, so he swapped them out for a different set, no problem. I absolutely love my glasses, too!

I can not recommend this place enough! The customer service, selection and ambience are top notch. I needed new glasses so walked in one Saturday, morning. Doors are locked due to Covid restrictions/protocols, so Bobin, the owner, had to open the door in order for me to enter. He is very attentive and immediately met me at the door with a warm and welcoming smile. Once I got in, I could not believe the variety! Wow! Bobin invited me to take a look around the shop. Full disclosure, I’m a tortoise shell frame kind of girl—so pretty plain and classic is my go-to look. The frames I selected were all pretty plain. When I showed them to Bobin he said, “these are all the same, would you be willing to try a new style?” I was willing. He then asked me what my favorite color is, I told him blue. And he showed me a bunch of really cool and funky glasses I would never have picked on my own. He knew exactly what style would work for the shape of my face. And was really attentive to my commentary after each frame. Every time I shared a little more about what I liked or disliked, he took that info...and somehow found a frame that I liked a little more than the last. He’s good. I mean, *really* good. In the end, I got the most stylish glasses I’ve ever owned: a pair of “Anacole”, a French eyewear brand I was introduced to by Bobin. I left the shop with a *lot* of useful information, actually. Bobin really knows his stuff and I like that he took time to educate me, as well. I could go on and on about this place and how happy I was with the experience! All in all, this place is a hidden gem. Get your glasses from ‘eye and eye’ and tell your friends to, too. I promise you won’t regret it!

Eye and Eye Optics is the only place I'll take my eyes to buy glasses. Bobbin has giving me confidence in wearing glasses I thought I would never wear it made a difference. Bobbin is always professional, he always let's me know when I'm trying on different frames, if they look good or not and I like that service. I walk out with smile every time and yes I do recommend Eye and Eye Optics. You will like what you see

I can't begin to say enough about how wonderful the staff is. They were extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They went out of the way to ensure we got the best service. They couldn't do enough for myself and my daughter. When I read the negative reviews posted on here, I honestly feel like we were at two totally different places. Each and every staff member was professional, helpful and friendly!
