Why do eyeglasses cost so much?
Eyeglasses are a complex optical device that is manufactured with high-precision equipment. Often expensive materials are used for the glasses. All of this explains why eyeglasses can be expensive.
What should you do before buying glasses?
Let's look at what to look for when buying eyeglasses. The first is, of course, quality. The second is the choice of lenses of glasses. Here we focus attention on the material: they can be either glass or plastic. The third is the choice of frames.
What's the difference between expensive glasses and cheap glasses for vision?
The quality and accordingly the price of the lens depends on the presence of coatings on the lenses. The higher the price, the more coatings on the lens. Coatings make our vision more comfortable. Lens manufacturers do not stand still and improve the quality of lenses.
How do I know which glasses fit my face?
It's best if the width of the frame is equal to or slightly larger than the widest part of your face. The upper line of the frames should coincide with the line of eyebrows. Smooth shapes of glasses will emphasize rounded curves of the face. To emphasize high cheekbones choose the "butterfly" or "cat-eye" glasses.
Where can I see better with glasses or contact lenses?
With lenses, you can see better, so it turns out that extra obstacles don't distort the image. Lenses don't shed dust, don't catch glare from the sun and don't distort peripheral vision-no matter where we look, the image stays sharp.

Laurie Day Burke | Rating: 1 | Walmart Vision & Glasses
Bought a pair of $450.00 glasses in January that already broke! Went back to Walmart vision and the manager Eugenia Goncalves took a try on pair off the try on shelf and put the lenses in that frame (the used frame)! This was a week ago. Well just went back because frame already broke. Eugenia (manager) was very rude and gave me her business card to call her manager which to find out it’s the store manager. I went to the service desk and asked to speak to a manager and Timothy the support manager came and didn’t do a dang thing. He said that he would talk to her about it then walked away. This customer service experience was terrible! Eugenia needs classes on customer service ASAP! I will be telling everyone not to buy glasses from Walmart.

Although I didn’t get my glasses from here, I bent my frames and needed an adjustment to straighten them out. Ben was helpful, kind, and had my glasses fixed within 2 minutes. The people are very nice and I’ll consider buying my next pair with them.

Lens Crafters in Brockton, MA is the best place. Shannon has always been so helpful, and kind. I always leave with a smile on my face, as he adjusts my glasses in a very professional manner. I will definitely continue to buy glasses at this store! Thank you to both Shannon and Brenda!

I paid for eye exam and contacts for my son. They said contacts will arrive at my home in one week. Four weeks later no contacts. I called & stated I was coming in for a refund with my receipt. When I arrived they said nobody can give you a refund only the manager who is NOT there. I questioned why they could not tell me that over the phone. My visit there is when I saw up close just how dysfunctional this office is! They pacified me with 2 free sample contact lenses for him but now 3 days after that encounter…still no refund. I called again to speak with a manager…you guessed it- NOT there! This all started June 7th it’s now July 8th and I can honestly declare that we will NEVER do business with City Eye again! I hate that it is located inside of Lens Crafters because I believe it will pull that business down to the ground! Don’t waste your time nor money with City Eye. Also, why didn’t Dr Maghaeles let people know he was leaving???? What a disrespect to our community after we patronized him for years! We deserve better from these and ALL businesses that come into OUR COMMUNITY! Or we take our dollars elsewhere-PERIOD! UPDATE: I received my refund electronically.

Pearls Vision has been the best! I’ve been to other vision places but none of them compare to Pearle Vision. Customer service is AMAZING! They don’t rush you and they make you feel like you are the only customer in the store! Exceptional service! I highly recommend!
