Who is an optometrist and what does he or she do?
Optometry is a branch of ophthalmology that specializes in methods of correcting vision using optometric aids. An optometrist is a specialist who determines the degree of vision impairment and prescribes corrective aids such as glasses and contact lenses.

Why do eyeglasses cost so much?
Eyeglasses are a complex optical device that is manufactured with high-precision equipment. Often expensive materials are used for the glasses. All of this explains why eyeglasses can be expensive.
What should you do before buying glasses?
Let's look at what to look for when buying eyeglasses. The first is, of course, quality. The second is the choice of lenses of glasses. Here we focus attention on the material: they can be either glass or plastic. The third is the choice of frames.
What's the difference between expensive glasses and cheap glasses for vision?
The quality and accordingly the price of the lens depends on the presence of coatings on the lenses. The higher the price, the more coatings on the lens. Coatings make our vision more comfortable. Lens manufacturers do not stand still and improve the quality of lenses.
How do I know which glasses fit my face?
It's best if the width of the frame is equal to or slightly larger than the widest part of your face. The upper line of the frames should coincide with the line of eyebrows. Smooth shapes of glasses will emphasize rounded curves of the face. To emphasize high cheekbones choose the "butterfly" or "cat-eye" glasses.
Where can I see better with glasses or contact lenses?
With lenses, you can see better, so it turns out that extra obstacles don't distort the image. Lenses don't shed dust, don't catch glare from the sun and don't distort peripheral vision-no matter where we look, the image stays sharp.

Really good customer service. Exam was quick and gave good advice - no pressure to get new glasses when my prescription hardly changed. I appreciated getting a print out summary of my exam and prescription (just ask!).
Alison Tan | Rating: 5 | Dr. Mary Ellen Padusi, OD
In a word, Dr. Padusi is wonderful. I received a very thorough eye exam and vision test. She took time to discuss my/ familial vision and health history; she patiently answered my countless questions intelligently and was extremely informational. I love that I can communicate with her office via text; it makes scheduling and the exchange of information so much easier. The Optician, Becca, is extremely helpful; she went above and beyond to help me find the perfect frames. So patient, she felt more like a friend giving me honest opinions as I tried on frame after frame. The office has such a friendly, welcoming feeling; it was really a pleasure! I am so happy I found Dr. Padusi’s office; excellent patient care all around.

I have never met such a kind and patient caring Dr in my life. My wife came across Mary last year and we refuse to go see any one else. My wife ended up with a scratch on her eye which became effected and it was on a holiday on which they were closed, Mary answered the after hours line and immediately told my wife what she needs to do. Mary ended up checking on her everyday for a week just to make sure everything was ok still, I can’t thank her enough because this infection could of caused my wife to lose her sight in that eye but thanks to Mary’s help my wife still has her sight in that eye. Mrs Mary you are the absolute best we are so grateful to have found you.

I LOVE this office. I’ve never had such a great experience at an eye doctor’s office. Dr. Pedusi is so nice and easy to talk to, very professional, clearly passionate about optometry, and incredibly devoted to taking care of her patients. Becca out front is the best, in general, but particularly with helping you find the right glasses with pure honesty and style to help you look your best. The team works so well together. You can tell they’re not just coworkers, but family, with arms wide open to all patients of their practice. Thank you for being the best!

I came into vision works as soon as they opened on 7/25/22 and was immediately helped by Kathy! She did the most caring unexpected thing. I haven't seen in weeks because the arm was lost on my glasses. She took her OWN glasses and the arm off and fixed mine with her OWN! And gave me it to me so I could make it through until my mine got repaired! She brought me to tears! I absolutely can't tell her how that made my day but someone should know! What a great human ❤❤
