Who is an optometrist and what does he or she do?
Optometry is a branch of ophthalmology that specializes in methods of correcting vision using optometric aids. An optometrist is a specialist who determines the degree of vision impairment and prescribes corrective aids such as glasses and contact lenses.

Why do eyeglasses cost so much?
Eyeglasses are a complex optical device that is manufactured with high-precision equipment. Often expensive materials are used for the glasses. All of this explains why eyeglasses can be expensive.
What should you do before buying glasses?
Let's look at what to look for when buying eyeglasses. The first is, of course, quality. The second is the choice of lenses of glasses. Here we focus attention on the material: they can be either glass or plastic. The third is the choice of frames.
What's the difference between expensive glasses and cheap glasses for vision?
The quality and accordingly the price of the lens depends on the presence of coatings on the lenses. The higher the price, the more coatings on the lens. Coatings make our vision more comfortable. Lens manufacturers do not stand still and improve the quality of lenses.
How do I know which glasses fit my face?
It's best if the width of the frame is equal to or slightly larger than the widest part of your face. The upper line of the frames should coincide with the line of eyebrows. Smooth shapes of glasses will emphasize rounded curves of the face. To emphasize high cheekbones choose the "butterfly" or "cat-eye" glasses.
Where can I see better with glasses or contact lenses?
With lenses, you can see better, so it turns out that extra obstacles don't distort the image. Lenses don't shed dust, don't catch glare from the sun and don't distort peripheral vision-no matter where we look, the image stays sharp.

The doctor was on her cell phone the entire time she had me reading off letters to test my vision. And to top it all off, they will miss inform you on if your insurance is in network or not. If I could give them no stars I would.

This has been an awful experience! The worst customer service experience I’ve had in years. My initial visit, for the eye exam was mediocre at best - a cold, barely audible greeting upon entering, followed by unexplained waiting (why am I waiting, who am I waiting for, how long will I wait, is there a problem, etc…). The exam itself was fine. The glasses came and they didn’t work for me, they were much too strong (not blaming anyone for that), so I needed to return them. The first time I went to the store to return them no one could help me and no one ever called back to resolve my issue. The second time I went to the store (days later) no one could help me and no called me back to resolve my issue. I went to another store in the area, and although the person was pleasant, ultimately no one could help me and no one called me back to resolve my issue. I then went back to the Catonsville store, on a different day and no one could help me! My issue isn’t resolved, no one has called back, including ANY of the GMs they claimed to have spoken with. Everyone seems to always be on vacation. I probably just need a lighter prescription but I’m so turned off my the experience I would never do business with them again.

Dr. Ali was phenomenal and is easily my favorite eye doctor I've ever seen. The staff are kind and accommodating, even when I needed to reschedule my appointment unexpectedly. Cannot recommend them enough. I'll definitely be making my future appointments here.

I went to this store years ago Cantonville and had problems then. Now 2022 still lousy service. They over charged my insurance company she the store manager acted as it was ok, not. My glasses did not meet the promie date, than they had to be retuned. It took more than 6 weeks to get my glasses back. For weeks I was told try back next week. There reasoning was we can only email them we dont have a phone number to contact them. After 6 weeks or more they should have gotten it right. Not so my bifocals were not high enogh. I took my glasses back for a second time the manager again so unconcerned. There services was poor and unconcerned my need to see. I will be doing another review after I contact my insurance. P0000000000RRRRRR SERVICES A ZERO OUT 4 THEY GET ZERO NOT EVEN A ONE
