Who is an optometrist and what does he or she do?

What is the difference between an ophthalmologist and an optometrist?

What is the difference between the profession of an optometrist and an ophthalmologist? An optometrist only provides initial diagnosis and can only treat refractive errors with conservative methods.

Why do eyeglasses cost so much?

Eyeglasses are a complex optical device that is manufactured with high-precision equipment. Often expensive materials are used for the glasses. All of this explains why eyeglasses can be expensive.

What should you do before buying glasses?

Let's look at what to look for when buying eyeglasses. The first is, of course, quality. The second is the choice of lenses of glasses. Here we focus attention on the material: they can be either glass or plastic. The third is the choice of frames.

What's the difference between expensive glasses and cheap glasses for vision?

The quality and accordingly the price of the lens depends on the presence of coatings on the lenses. The higher the price, the more coatings on the lens. Coatings make our vision more comfortable. Lens manufacturers do not stand still and improve the quality of lenses.

How do I know which glasses fit my face?

It's best if the width of the frame is equal to or slightly larger than the widest part of your face. The upper line of the frames should coincide with the line of eyebrows. Smooth shapes of glasses will emphasize rounded curves of the face. To emphasize high cheekbones choose the "butterfly" or "cat-eye" glasses.

Where can I see better with glasses or contact lenses?

With lenses, you can see better, so it turns out that extra obstacles don't distort the image. Lenses don't shed dust, don't catch glare from the sun and don't distort peripheral vision-no matter where we look, the image stays sharp.

Appointment was easy to make online and staff was friendly and professional and maintained the exam of my eyes in a timely manner. I was provided a file after my visit with a referral for recommended surgery. I had to do a little additional research, but for the most part I would recommend Rosin Eyecare.

Ask for Daniel! Daniel fue súper lindo y muy paciente. He went above and beyond. He and doctor Fary, are exceptional. The other staff to recognize is Maria. She is very detailed and friendly.Have your insurance info ready, if not It will be out of pocket. Talk to Daniel about their I care club. It def helps. Again thank you Dr. Fary and Daniel plus Maria! Update: I had to come back to return my two pairs of glasses. I met with the manager Franceli and she was fabulous! Amazing help! She helped me with all my concerns and apologize for any inconvenience. I can’t wait to see my new pair!

Had such an amazing experience at Americas best. Got checked in very quickly and was seen almost right away. Dr. Biniek was so helpful in explaining what she doing and why. She was very professional and wouldn’t let me leave the office until she saw I was comfortable with taking my new contacts in and out. She made sure that the ones I tried fit properly and talked to me about contacted them if any issues came up. Overall great experience!

I got glasses from this company, but after complaining the third time that they not falling off my face and it has a wrong angle, it made me dizzy using them! I was getting the wrong response from a very young and I’ll manner young kid. She had problems writing down an email. Without asking, I ended up on hold, for a long time. Far as getting my money back is another issue because I had escalated to my insurance company trying to reinstate the benefits! The manager I had to speak to, was lecturing me like a little kid. She has no right to be one. Her words was just fuel on fire! Made me very upset! The other location in Carpentersville was the worst place trying to have glasses because they the one who did the exam and wasted my time going back trying to deal with this. They had a chance to fix my glasses the right way more then once .

The doctor is good and the staff that help fit you for glasses are also kind BUT they booked me and sent me a card with a time that they where not even open to take people and then tried one time to reach me to fix a known problem that head office knows is an internal issue so I showed up and the doors where locked because I did not notice their one attempt. Can't someone be a medium before the send out and make sure clients are not inconvienced! The biggest reason I will not call or go to this office any longer though is because of Carrie, she is very rude whether she answers the phone or is at the front begrudgly welcoming you. Rude and short over the phone if at front will not even make eye contact to greet you and then today was the topper, treated me very inappropriately when I said I am here to pick up my glasses, she said to the staff, check to see if they are here, I said why would you say it like that, I received 2 phone calls it makes me feel like you are assuming I do not know if they are here and that is not what I said, no apology, just said "not what I meant"... Carrie I hope it is your job you hate and you are not that rude, unhappy in daily living....that would be very sad. I wish you go and find something that makes you happy or you get help for that negativity its not healthy ....but I in turn will not continue to be treated that way as life is too short to be treated poorly for no reason at all
