Dr. Barnes Is by far the BEST eye doctor I’ve ever been to hands down! He’s patient he’s gentle and there’s no rush when he’s working with you. He’s very detail oriented. He also makes great suggestions. And he really cares about his patience. The staff here is very kind and professional 10 out of 10 I recommend and you would not be disappointed. Just know that if the wait is a bit longer it’s because he is taking his time with another patient as he would with you.

I scheduled an appointment at 3:00 pm and received a call the day before my appointment alerting me that I either needed to reschedule to a different day or come at 1:40 pm on the day of my original appointment as Dr. Barnes did not have a patient between 1:00 and 3:00 and wanted to leave early for the day. I explained that scheduling an appointment during the work day when I myself am also a healthcare worker involves multiple hoops to jump through including getting permission from my manager as well as securing coverage for clients of my own. That didn’t seem to do the trick, and I was still only offered the option of rescheduling with less than 24 hours notice. In my opinion, this was very unprofessional and after multiple years of visiting this eye doctor annually, I can say that I will look for service elsewhere.

Buyer beware! Understand that after 2 years, your lens protective coatings could fail( material defect) and Midtown Eye Care will not stand behind the failure. Do you expect your glasses lenses to last more than 2 years?…..,I do…..and had no idea extra protection would backfire. I paid $800+ for new lenses(only) 3 years ago, with every option available and when this year they became clouded and “unseeable”(not scratched up, just blurry), Midtown Eye Care would only offer to replace them for $700+ Quoting “Industry standard” warranty of 2 years. Not right to sell products and offer extra protection for more money that expires in a couple years, making your whole investment unknowingly void. Where’s the integrity? Look somewhere else!
