Yikes, I came in 10/4 at 10:45am to receive my annual eye exam. Not my regular provider but thought it would be fine since my insurance recommended their office, cool. Showed up on time only to find out they required to charge a $39 fee for an eye dilation scan that could not be covered by insurance, that you must sign for. Hmmm. My yearly eye exams are always free, because they’re fully covered by my insurance. A required scan that can’t be billed, waived, nor sent to insurance verification? That’s the reason why I asked over the phone when I made my appointment if I would have a copay, and was told I was covered by my insurance…A disappointment to say the least waiting two weeks for that?
I lost the last set of contacts I had on a holiday weekend, and my boyfriend recommended DePoe. KJ answered my call - literally and metaphorically! I called 10 other eye centers that morning to get an immediate visit and although I found some in my network, I chose to wait and visit Depoe because of KJ's incredible customer service. I have awful vision and have experienced my fair share of eye doctors. Dr. Barnes was excellent -- she was thorough, listened to my concerns, and I am already happier with the trial lenses she gave me than I was with the permanent ones at my previous eye doc. Across the board, this is one of the best - and weirdly, most fun!? - experiences I have ever had at an eye doc. Thank you to the exceptional staff and docs for a great visit :)
The staff at Depoe Eye Center are super cool! Everyone here is so helpful, friendly, and really funny! I’ve never had such a great time at the eye doctor before. Would give 6 stars if I could!
