Who is an optometrist and what does he or she do?
Optometry is a branch of ophthalmology that specializes in methods of correcting vision using optometric aids. An optometrist is a specialist who determines the degree of vision impairment and prescribes corrective aids such as glasses and contact lenses.

What is the difference between the profession of an optometrist and an ophthalmologist? An optometrist only provides initial diagnosis and can only treat refractive errors with conservative methods.

Why do eyeglasses cost so much?
Eyeglasses are a complex optical device that is manufactured with high-precision equipment. Often expensive materials are used for the glasses. All of this explains why eyeglasses can be expensive.
What should you do before buying glasses?
Let's look at what to look for when buying eyeglasses. The first is, of course, quality. The second is the choice of lenses of glasses. Here we focus attention on the material: they can be either glass or plastic. The third is the choice of frames.
What's the difference between expensive glasses and cheap glasses for vision?
The quality and accordingly the price of the lens depends on the presence of coatings on the lenses. The higher the price, the more coatings on the lens. Coatings make our vision more comfortable. Lens manufacturers do not stand still and improve the quality of lenses.
How do I know which glasses fit my face?
It's best if the width of the frame is equal to or slightly larger than the widest part of your face. The upper line of the frames should coincide with the line of eyebrows. Smooth shapes of glasses will emphasize rounded curves of the face. To emphasize high cheekbones choose the "butterfly" or "cat-eye" glasses.
Where can I see better with glasses or contact lenses?
With lenses, you can see better, so it turns out that extra obstacles don't distort the image. Lenses don't shed dust, don't catch glare from the sun and don't distort peripheral vision-no matter where we look, the image stays sharp.

There is no better place for your optical needs! I've been going to Optique Unique for years even through the transition of ownership. Cary the current owner is extremely personable, accommodating, takes special care and time to meet your individual needs and style. The store is always clean and organized and you won't find a comprable selection anywhere else. I enjoy stopping by the store just to see what new inventory she has brought in. It's truly something you have to experience for yourself. You won't be disappointed!

Best experience I've had purchasing glasses and sunglasses in years. I have a complicated prescription and I have really struggled to find someone expert enough to help me choose attractive, functional, eyewear with lenses that were crafted and placed correctly the first time. A friend recommended Optique Unique and boy, was she right: this place was a godsend for me. Cary took her time with me, and helped me pick out glasses and sunglasses. I immediately trusted not only her optical expertise, but her fashion sense as well! I picked up my eyewear last week and I couldn't be happier with both. I feel like I look good, and, the best part is...I can see the first time out! No do-overs! No frustration! The entire experience was a pleasure, and FUN. Thank you Cary and Optique Unique!

Awesome experience at Optique! When I walked in Cary was helping another customer. I was struck with her patient gentle manner. When it was my turn, I received the same great service. The shop had a pair of frames that I just had to have, it's difficult to find frames for my petite face, and she was kind enough to hold them for a few days. I'll certainly return as the selection and service were 5 start.

What a great location with so much knowledge! Cary and family were wonderful and now I'm sporting sunglasses and staying safe in the sun. To all coaches and lifeguards, go to Optique Unique!

I love the options of glasses they have! You can go traditional or very trendy. Then the best thing past the choices you have is the staff! They are exceptionally helpful! They care about getting you the look you want. They are truly professionals who care about giving you the very best service. I cannot recommend them highly enough, thus the 5 stars!
