Eye exams is a procedure to evaluate the functions of the eye that provide normal vision. Namely, how the size, shape, and color of objects are perceived, as well as their location relative to each other. Eye exams are necessary for the timely detection of abnormalities and successful correction. Eye exams include accurate determination of the patient's visual acuity and refraction, intraocular pressure measurements, microscopic examination of the eye (biomicroscopy), pachymetry (corneal thickness measurement), echobiometry (eye length determination), ultrasound eye examination (B-scan), computer keratotopography and thorough retinal (eye fundus) examination with a wide pupil, tear production level determination and detailed visual field examination of the patient. Various methods are used to test vision, the results of which allow the doctor to identify abnormalities and prescribe a correction.

I would like to personally thank the nurses and doctor who helped me today at my appointment. I brought my 3 month old along and needless to say he did not make it easy. The nurses and doctors were so kind and even took turns holding him while I was getting a much needed eye exam to address some problems I’ve been having (but haven’t had the time to get checked out). Thank you so much for your kindness!

I've been using the Lowry location for a few years now and I have become highly disappointed with this location. The first few years were great up until now. They've sent me 3 emails over the course of a month or so telling me that I'm overdue for my eye exam. Great, thanks for letting me know, I'll schedule an appointment then. So I click the "request appointment" and enter my info to schedule an appointment and wait for someone to contact me. But nobody calls me back. I have done this 3 times. So I resort to calling. Nobody ever answers the phone and I have to leave a message with my callback info. I've left 2 messages. Guess what? Still don't get a call back to schedule an appointment. I am down to my last pair of contacts and just want an updated prescription and some fresh contacts. Dr. Merchant has been great and all but the staff is horrible at following up, scheduling, etc. I don't recommend this location. If the Parker location were more convenient I would go there. They respond quickly. I'm most likely going to find a different eye doctor.

Prior to Covid and the move from downstairs to upstairs Associated Eye Care was great. The greatness has went out the door. I have not been able to make an appointment. I called a couple of months ago and left a message expecting a phone call in 24 hours. I never received a call back. I called back yesterday to make an appointment and was actually speaking to someone when she put me on hold with no notice. She never came back, and never called back. I’m taking my business to another eye care center.
