Contact lenses are small lenses that are in "contact" with your eyes. They are designed to correct refractive errors and keep your eyes healthy. The lenses are in the tear film on the cornea. Modern contact lenses are small lenses worn over the cornea of the eye. Modern contact lenses whether soft or hard. Most people wear soft contact lenses, but it wasn't that long ago that lenses were made of glass. Colored contact lenses can make your eyes more intense or completely change the color of your eyes, and costume contact lenses can help create special effects seen on the big screen.

What is the difference between glasses and contact lenses?

Unlike glasses, contact lenses do not limit the field of vision. With glasses, the field of vision is limited, causing people to have to turn their head to see something from the side.

Can I sleep in contact lenses?

Modern soft contact lenses allow enough oxygen to the eye, but when you sleep, your eyes are closed and, therefore, the access of oxygen to them is reduced.

What are the harms of contact lenses?

Prolonged contact lens wear causes the cornea to thin (keratocytes lose their ability to synthesize new tissue). This can happen even with proper lens wear 3-5 years after use. In the case of reaction to hypoxia (lack of oxygen), the main complication is the formation of new blood vessels.

I am very disappointed with this company. I've been waiting over a month and a half now for the glasses I ordered. When I call to inquire about the status of the order, it goes directly to voicemail, and my call is never returned. I went there in person a couple of weeks ago, and after they left me waiting in the lobby for a while, they told me that the glasses would be arriving in two days. That was two weeks ago.

Mindy Platte  |  Rating: 5  |  Denver Vision Therapy: Dr. Leanna Dudley, OD, FCOVD

We found out that our 7 year old daughter was seeing double and was referred to Dr. leanna Dudley’s office and couldn’t be happier. We were impressed with the hours of testing Dr. Dudley completed to assess our daughter’s needs and explained all of the results. She created a plan and had documents for our daughter’s teacher to help her in the classroom. Since the assessment our daughter has completed 10 sessions with Lori, one of the vision specialists and she’s made great progress, which was also assessed in a recent visit! Our daughter loves going to vision therapy and is benefiting from the hard work everyone has put in! I highly recommend Denver Vision Specialists!

The contacts I was given scratch the inside of my eyelids when I blink and regardless of how much eyedrops I use my eyes are very dehydrated and rough feeling after I put them in, I always get an airbubble in my contacts after I blink like 6 times and I can't get rid of it unless I fully take the contacts out and use 4-5 eyedrops in each eye.
