Eye exams is a procedure to evaluate the functions of the eye that provide normal vision. Namely, how the size, shape, and color of objects are perceived, as well as their location relative to each other. Eye exams are necessary for the timely detection of abnormalities and successful correction. Eye exams include accurate determination of the patient's visual acuity and refraction, intraocular pressure measurements, microscopic examination of the eye (biomicroscopy), pachymetry (corneal thickness measurement), echobiometry (eye length determination), ultrasound eye examination (B-scan), computer keratotopography and thorough retinal (eye fundus) examination with a wide pupil, tear production level determination and detailed visual field examination of the patient. Various methods are used to test vision, the results of which allow the doctor to identify abnormalities and prescribe a correction.

We were refereed to Dr. Rabins office and we are very satisfied. It's a small office and the staff are very friendly. Dr. Rabins caught what had been missed for years. He found glasses were needed for my 10 year old and they were ordered that same day. He knows what he is doing. The office is very professional, and knowledgeable. I recommend Optom-eyes. We Came back to the office 8 months later for a follow up. In those last 8 months my daughter has been reading better then she ever has and is raising her grades tremendously because she can now see. Dr. Rabins found my daughters eyes were changing and needed a new prescription. He is very good at what he does and seems to really care. Very good place!

I am visiting Colorado Springs for a few days & somehow only managed to pack my daily contact lenses for my left eye. The lens for my right eye is a significant correction (and very helpful for driving, seeing etc) & is usually only available by special order. After calling around numerous optical/vision shops, I reached the super friendly & very helpful folks at In-Sight Optical. They were very sympathetic to my plight & miraculously were able to find a contact lens that was an EXACT match...on top of all that, they generously would not accept payment. What a great local optical store to have in Colorado Springs!

Admin staff was welcoming and helpful, however the female eye doctor was rude, abrupt, and impatient. She sighed and rolled her eyes when the very first pair of contacts was blurry and i couldn't see the letters. Kept on sighing and made snarky comments when the second pair of contacts did not work. This customer service was the worst experience that i have had so far. I felt rushed with my contact lenses process, which is the only reason why i came in the first place, not listened to, not welcomed, and the subject of frustration and annoyance for having a very basic need for the contacts to feel ok in the eyes and to see somewhat good. Much different experience from a male doctor that used to see clients at that center. Will never return to this place regardless of a good price and will discourage the friends and family from going there!
