Who is an optometrist and what does he or she do?
Optometry is a branch of ophthalmology that specializes in methods of correcting vision using optometric aids. An optometrist is a specialist who determines the degree of vision impairment and prescribes corrective aids such as glasses and contact lenses.

Why do eyeglasses cost so much?
Eyeglasses are a complex optical device that is manufactured with high-precision equipment. Often expensive materials are used for the glasses. All of this explains why eyeglasses can be expensive.
What should you do before buying glasses?
Let's look at what to look for when buying eyeglasses. The first is, of course, quality. The second is the choice of lenses of glasses. Here we focus attention on the material: they can be either glass or plastic. The third is the choice of frames.
What's the difference between expensive glasses and cheap glasses for vision?
The quality and accordingly the price of the lens depends on the presence of coatings on the lenses. The higher the price, the more coatings on the lens. Coatings make our vision more comfortable. Lens manufacturers do not stand still and improve the quality of lenses.
How do I know which glasses fit my face?
It's best if the width of the frame is equal to or slightly larger than the widest part of your face. The upper line of the frames should coincide with the line of eyebrows. Smooth shapes of glasses will emphasize rounded curves of the face. To emphasize high cheekbones choose the "butterfly" or "cat-eye" glasses.
Where can I see better with glasses or contact lenses?
With lenses, you can see better, so it turns out that extra obstacles don't distort the image. Lenses don't shed dust, don't catch glare from the sun and don't distort peripheral vision-no matter where we look, the image stays sharp.

This was my second visit to Eyelab, the first was last year around this same time, and though I had a positive experience, I forgot to leave a review. So, here I am, leaving a review after my second visit, to help keep this amazing business open! Last year, and this year, I had my eye exam for contact lenses and eyeglasses done at Costco. I like the Optometrist there, but I'm not a member, so I can't make any purchases- it's just me in my apt, why would I need 50 hamburger buns? I digress. Anywho, I ordered the contact lenses from my tried and true 1-800-Contacts, and went to Eyelab for glasses, after reading positive reviews. No matter what your budget, you can find a pair of glasses here! Last year, I told an employee I couldn't spare more than $100 total! Not a problem. I was shown the wall of frames that were free with a lens purchase, starting at $60! Long story short, I paid $90 for a complete pair of eyeglasses, that were ready for pick up the next day! This time, I wanted a pair of glasses with a little more flashiness, and was willing to spend a little more, $150. I was very indecisive this time around, but the employees let me browse for how ever long I wanted, and checked in just enough for me to know I wasn't forgotten about, and to give an opinion each time I asked, "What do you think of these on me?" I was on the designer side of the store, which I felt would tip my budget, but the employee insisted that I could find a reasonable pair. He even offered to discount some of the frames I liked to keep me within budget! Well, I found a cute pair of designer frames for just $90! With lenses it would've been $170. Knowing my budget, they made it an even $150! To top it off, since I went early afternoon, and my lenses were instock, I was able to pick up my glasses the same day! I'm telling everyone, go to Eyelab! Great prices and styles, amazing customer services, easy parking, and it's a local business! Support!

Excellent customer service. Nobody tries to sell you expensive frames. One side is generic, other side is name brand. You are free to roam and take your time without any pressure. I now have 3 pairs of glasses from EYELAB and am always pleased. Excellent turn-around time. Excellent prices. I am so used to having to pay $200 or $300 above and beyond what my insurance covers. At eyelab, not the case! Though they do not take insurance, they are so affordable.

My one star is being generous only because I have to give something. Dr was awesome, very attentive and took his time with me. I felt comfortable with him. The staff in the front is a whole different story. Everyone is so rude and unprofessional. He needs better help, employees that actually want to be there.

Super friendly and helpful staff! Dr. Kristal is so sweet and really took the time to explain the results of my exams and recommended products and services based on my needs. They have a really nice selection of frames and the guy who helped me out took the time to break down my insurance coverage and explain my options which was incredibly helpful. Just an all around great experience, would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new optometrist

Great experience. Roxy and front office team were fantastic. Were very helpful, professional but not high pressure. Met with Dr. Colabella OD and he was down to earth and professional. I will be back for my contacts. Accepted Sag insurance and did not try to up-sell exam or glasses.
