Namely, how the size, shape, and color of objects are perceived, as well as their location relative to each other. Eye exams include accurate determination of the patient's visual acuity and refraction, intraocular pressure measurements, microscopic examination of the eye (biomicroscopy), pachymetry (corneal thickness measurement), echobiometry (eye length determination), ultrasound eye examination (B-scan), computer keratotopography and thorough retinal (eye fundus) examination with a wide pupil, tear production level determination and detailed visual field examination of the patient. The eye doctor was great and I would get examined here again without question. The optics department was a nightmare. They had no male frames to pick from with my insurance so I opted to spend big money on high end frames for my son's first pare of glasses so he could at least look good. The male person who "helped" us select frames was not interested in helping at all, making myself and my son feel very unwelcome and rushed. He also failed to mention that the turn around on lenses is 2-3 months. My son had two prescriptions from the doctor, one for bifocals and one for distance. After attempting to explain that we just want the single vision lenses, I had to have the doctor clarify to him that we do not want the bifocals at this time and would be going with the single vision lenses. No update at all for two months so I stopped in with my son praying his glasses would be finished so he could finally see clearly. The male helper ordered the wrong lenses in the upper strength of what the bifocal lens would have been. Plain negligence. I demanded a refund as we cannot wait another 2-3 months for them to process the correct lenses. I was told I would have to wait a hour to speak with someone. I was not having any of it and had the supervisor out within 10 minutes to refund my purchase as she completely understood and apologized. I ended up at Lenscrafters 20 minutes later and my sons glasses where completed in 40 minutes with much better lenses and better frames for 5 dollars less. Don't get ripped of thinking you have to purchase your glasses at the same place you recieve your exam. Shop around, you will be grateful you did. To the male individual that ruined my sons first experience with glasses I would recommend a course in customer care. He would not even make eye contact with me today. Summary....Eye Doctor amazing, optical department extreamly overpriced, unorganized and unprofessional. Wishing you all a better experience.

I left a message to request an appointment on JULY 8TH! I just received a call back TODAY WHICH IS JULY 20TH! I wouldn't even waste my time with this office! I didn't even bother to make an appointment with office that doesn't even bother to call patient back even by next day!

I have been a client at Second Street Optique for several years. Originally, I went there because a prior optical lab would spring the frames trying to put my strong prescription lenses in the frames. I have gotten many different pairs of glasses from Marc over the years with no problem/issues with the lenses. Marc is kind, easy to work with, listens well, very knowledgeable and honest. Fun to talk to too!
