Why do eyeglasses cost so much?
Eyeglasses are a complex optical device that is manufactured with high-precision equipment. Often expensive materials are used for the glasses. All of this explains why eyeglasses can be expensive.
What should you do before buying glasses?
Let's look at what to look for when buying eyeglasses. The first is, of course, quality. The second is the choice of lenses of glasses. Here we focus attention on the material: they can be either glass or plastic. The third is the choice of frames.
What's the difference between expensive glasses and cheap glasses for vision?
The quality and accordingly the price of the lens depends on the presence of coatings on the lenses. The higher the price, the more coatings on the lens. Coatings make our vision more comfortable. Lens manufacturers do not stand still and improve the quality of lenses.
How do I know which glasses fit my face?
It's best if the width of the frame is equal to or slightly larger than the widest part of your face. The upper line of the frames should coincide with the line of eyebrows. Smooth shapes of glasses will emphasize rounded curves of the face. To emphasize high cheekbones choose the "butterfly" or "cat-eye" glasses.
Where can I see better with glasses or contact lenses?
With lenses, you can see better, so it turns out that extra obstacles don't distort the image. Lenses don't shed dust, don't catch glare from the sun and don't distort peripheral vision-no matter where we look, the image stays sharp.

Wouldn't recommend. The Optometrist was great, however although the plus-sized assistant was polite, she was lazy and incompetent with no interest in actually making adjustments to the glasses I purchased.

From the ease of making my appointment online to the quick pickup of my 2 new pair of glasses my experience was stellar. I have purchased eyeglasses here for years, but this was the first time I had my exam here. Dr. Christensen was detailed, caring, professional and explained all my tests results in a manner that was easy to understand. The entire staff and facility are following safety protocols. They made me feel safe and relaxed on my visits. I waited to write my review for a few days after I received my new prescription glasses and am more than happy with their quality.

What an amazing experience with Lake Forest Optometry and a BIG thank you to Dr. Cullinane! While traveling out of state for Christmas, our daughter lost one of her contacts and forgot to pack replacements. She has very bad vision so she was having a very hard time seeing anything. After looking up, visiting and/or calling several local optometrist, none of which were eager to help, we found Lake forest optometry and they saved us with some samples! Without Lakeforest optometry out trip would have been a disaster.

I only just started coming to this place and it’s already miles above my last optometrist. The Dr. (female, I of course can’t remember her name) was outstanding. She was very knowledgeable and explained everything thoroughly. Once it came time to pick out my frames, the receptionist was great and really took the time to make sure I found the right pair. They also have lots of great frames to choose from, all were very trendy and from high quality brands. I picked up my glasses today and encountered a different receptionist she was also great and very thorough ensuring that my glasses fit my face perfectly and didn’t require any additional adjustments. Overall, I couldn’t be happier and plan to recommend this place to all my friends/family who are in the market for optometric care! Thanks for a great experience!

I used to drive from LA down there because they were so amazing, but after years and years and spending over 10 thousand dollars on glasses, I will NEVER return. Their manager Michael left and took his knowledge with him. That place is now run by clowns and the selection has gone downhill for frames. Long story short, I bought another pair of 2000 dollar glasses and they came to me wrong THREE Times and I finally demanded a refund. They tried to blame it on the weather, shipping, and alien abduction, but there was no excuse. My reading glasses came and the lenses are SO cheap and I don't believe that they actually installed all of the upgrades that I paid for, because I swear, they attract scratches and fingerprints. Go somewhere else that sells a quality product that will give you reliable customer service. If you want cheap grandma glasses, then this is the place for you!
