Who is an optometrist and what does he or she do?
Optometry is a branch of ophthalmology that specializes in methods of correcting vision using optometric aids. An optometrist is a specialist who determines the degree of vision impairment and prescribes corrective aids such as glasses and contact lenses.

What is the difference between the profession of an optometrist and an ophthalmologist? An optometrist only provides initial diagnosis and can only treat refractive errors with conservative methods.

Why do eyeglasses cost so much?
Eyeglasses are a complex optical device that is manufactured with high-precision equipment. Often expensive materials are used for the glasses. All of this explains why eyeglasses can be expensive.
What should you do before buying glasses?
Let's look at what to look for when buying eyeglasses. The first is, of course, quality. The second is the choice of lenses of glasses. Here we focus attention on the material: they can be either glass or plastic. The third is the choice of frames.
What's the difference between expensive glasses and cheap glasses for vision?
The quality and accordingly the price of the lens depends on the presence of coatings on the lenses. The higher the price, the more coatings on the lens. Coatings make our vision more comfortable. Lens manufacturers do not stand still and improve the quality of lenses.
How do I know which glasses fit my face?
It's best if the width of the frame is equal to or slightly larger than the widest part of your face. The upper line of the frames should coincide with the line of eyebrows. Smooth shapes of glasses will emphasize rounded curves of the face. To emphasize high cheekbones choose the "butterfly" or "cat-eye" glasses.
Where can I see better with glasses or contact lenses?
With lenses, you can see better, so it turns out that extra obstacles don't distort the image. Lenses don't shed dust, don't catch glare from the sun and don't distort peripheral vision-no matter where we look, the image stays sharp.

The doctors at Pack and Bianes are highly professional and knowledgeable and my experiences have been always positive over the years. The staff is also friendly and helpful and go out of their way to accommodate appointments and minor details. Nice to see the 2nd generation doctor Pack on the team also.

Great experience and great location. The staff was very attentive and helpful from the moment I walked in. I was greeted quickly, checked in and moved towards screening in a timely manner. Dr. Bui who conducted my eye exam was very knowledgeable and helpful. I came for a contact lenses prescription and Diana helped with contact lenses placement and removal. She was very patient through the training and provided good insight with glasses selection. All staff that I encountered today provided good customer service. I am thankful I came to location and while be happy to recommend to others.
Yuliana Hidalgo | Rating: 1 | Villa Optometry, Inc.
Very disappointed at the costumer service I received this last visit and will not be returning as a client anymore. I was charge a 40 dollar cancelation fee for and appointment I could not attend and I had canceled ahead of time online. I complaint about this and read their website for cancelation policy and nothing is disclosed in regards to charging for a cancellation ahead of time.
Dario Curiel | Rating: 1 | Costco Vision Center
Spoke to David he said he is the manager at the Optical maybe it's time for Costco to re-evaluate what goes on in there store! They had placed a replacement order and then they canceled my order. My previous contacts came defective, 2 pairs and Because my prescription had just expired they said they can't order it anymore so this whole time I was waiting for nothing and not even a phone call to let me know! what about my 2 pairs that came defective??? they aren't cheap! As a customer all we can do is let you guys know AND I BROUGHT THE CONTACTS IN TO SHOW YOU GUYS!

Everyone working in this store is honestly so nice and easy to talk to. They explain everything to me so well and they were so helpful. We came a couple minutes late to my moms appointment due to getting lost, but they were so nice about it and worked in a fast and timely matter. Their pricing for their glasses are also really good and affordable. Overall a great experience.
