Eyeglasses are the simplest optical device designed to correct vision; there are also glasses to protect the eyes from various factors (safety glasses). Glasses consist of frames and lenses. Glasses frames are made of plastic, metal and combined. They can be symmetrical, asymmetrical, round, with or without rims and with both rigid and flexible earpieces.

Correcting glasses are a medical optical device for correcting various visual impairments. They are used for correction of refractive error, accommodation disorders and for correction of eye muscular system defects. In cases when ordinary eyeglasses don't give the desired effect special eyeglasses are used. They include telescopic, prismatic, hemianopic glasses as well as magnifying glasses with illuminators.

What are eyeglasses for?

There are several pathologies in which these ophthalmic products are most commonly used: myopia; hyperopia; astigmatism; and presbyopia.

What do glasses for work mean?

The glasses for working at a computer or other gadgets are designed for people with poor vision as well as those who see well. To protect our vision, experts have developed glasses for computer work. The main difference between computer glasses and other glasses is the function of blocking the blue spectrum rays.

What's better for vision - glasses or lenses?

Contact lenses, unlike glasses, follow the curvature of your eye to provide a wider field of vision and prevent significant visual distortion or interference of any kind.

What are polarizing glasses?

Polarizing glasses are glasses with lenses that have a polarizing filter (polarized). The main difference between polarized glasses and sunglasses is the very film/film which blocks the reflected, aka horizontal, light (glare) but lets in the vertical rays which are responsible for color and contrast.

Called to ask a quick easy simple fast question before coming to appointment and the Rep on the phone who sound Indian seem to not care about my question and started to ask me personal questions. I simply ask a question and he just ignore it. He just wants to keep pushing me to make an appointment when I already had one. As an receptionist you should always have full ears and listen to the concern of the clients or patients. By ignoring a simple easy and quick question, I decided not to keep the appointment and delete it. It just show you don’t care about people…

Would highly recommend steering clear of this office. To share the backstory of why I chose this optometry; I had just landed a new job with new vision insurance and while browsing for a great Optometry who I can trust, I came across Summit Care. I was excited to read all of the good reviews about this place. My first visit went smoothly and had no complaints. My appointment was on February 10th, and in the process of ordering contacts, I have received nothing but disrespect and rude service from the staff at the front desk and whomever works with contact ordering. I have email correspondence going back and forth over this process. At my first appointment, I was given two pairs of different contacts in half a prescription lower than I needed and was told by Dr. Kettler to call back once I try each pair and let them know which I liked best so they can order me a trial in the correct prescription and come in for one last contact fitting afterwards. After a few weeks I was told my trials were ready for pickup. Once I picked up the contacts and brought them home to put on, I quickly realized something wasn’t right. Come to find out it’s a completely different brand than I had asked to order. When I wrote back to the office in email correspondence, they had argued with me over which contacts I wanted to order. I’m not sure why this was a confusion with the office? They then wanted me to come in for a fitting for the contacts I just picked up (the wrong ones), which makes zero sense. I finally explained myself and what the Dr had told me and they agreed to order the right pair of contacts and that once those were in I would finally come in for my fitting. Fast forward to now, April 7th, I had called to check on the status of my trial lenses. They ordered me the correct pair of contacts AND the SAME incorrect pair which I never wanted nor had the Dr even ever gave to me to try on. This time I was told I had to schedule an appointment with their contact specialist to pick up the contacts, I couldn’t come in and pick them up, try them, and schedule my fitting at a later time. With that being said, they told me they couldn’t fit me in with my schedule until April 29th. I explained I am on my the same trials the Dr gave me at my appointment and it has been far over a month. Then, they proceeded to tell me they can squeeze me in on the 22nd. Not once has the office apologized for all these mishaps and inconveniences they’ve put me through, or at least acknowledged it. Needless to say, I went back to my previous optometry in desperation for proper customer care AND contacts. Now I should have my contacts in less than a week AND have a fitting scheduled shortly after. When I called back to Summit to cancel my contact fitting, they asked why. I simply said, because they told me they can get my contacts in less than 7 days and they provide better customer service. They responded, okay good luck then. I have worked customer service and hands on with patients for many many years. I would never dream of treating patients or clients with this sort of lack in respect and customer service.

Swiched to Accurate Vision Clinic two years ago because my sons vison continued to get worse at every check up. Dr Smith diagnosed him with myopia and started treatment immediately. My son myopia slowed drastically. Before he was getting a new prescription every 6 months, now he hasnt had a chang in 2 years and that is duing a growth spurt. I just wish I switch to this clinic at the fist change in my son's prescription. The staff and providers are extremely helpful, pleasant, and professional. I live 45 minutes away, the care and attention we receive is worth the drive.
